What did you do with your GRiSO today?

Took the GRiSO out for a thrash today. Lots of fun through the twisties between Ballarat and Daylesford and then more fun passing all the slower traffic. Only cops I saw were all going the other way.

Another mapping run. I did the necessary, and was about to head home. Then, inexplicably, I found myself heading in the opposite direction. I had a hoot just riding it. Nothing to think about, I just gave the throttle a jolly good...er, um.. throttling.


I will lose my license on this thing. It's inevitable.

Can I ride it when you do? LOL

They can't "shoot" you when approaching?

Taking in last night's fiery (literally) sunset over the Pacific from Point Vicente. My crappy phone camera couldn't capture most of the color, but the smoke made for some wild hues.

Nice sunset ride photos. I like the bike too. Makes me want to buy a black Zard pipe for my Tenni.

Thanks Blades. I like the Zard a lot. It has a very nice rumble even with the db killer in and it works well with the Beetlemap.

Those are pretty pictures, greatly "enhanced" by the wildfires burning all around you I'm sure. Hope you and yours are well away from the conflagration.

Thanks Street. I'm lucky to live in an area with low fire risk. But some of those canyons currently burning are beautiful places to ride and I know them well. My heart goes out to the many who have lost their homes. It's a wonder that only one human life has been lost at present. Sadly, many horses and other animals haven't been so lucky.

The GRiSO is parked! SNOW has come! While the White Christmas has its virtues.....
I did get a ride in this month, maybe we will get clear roads for January to continue my 2 plus year run of at least one ride a month!

We were right near there in 2008 for the National Moto Guzzi Rally at Leo Carillo State Park. Had a blast exploring the canyon roads!

Pete Roper was there too plying his magic surrounded by sycophants curious admirers.

Finally got around to tweaking my trim for cold weather running (+3, was at 0). Very slight stumble in the first 5 min then runs fine. Had a bit of a slippery ride home when the NJ weather dropped into the upper 20's. Probably walk or get a ride to work tomorrow rather than chance things in the iciness..

Did an early blast from Bright over Tawonga Gap to Mount Beauty for a coffee and pastry (mrs would not be happy about the pastry bit) and a return run. Not too hot then but well over 33C now.
No one on the twisties just had a great 9/10ths effort.

I give it the berries in the hills. I went very fast.

Finally got unpacked enough to go for a ride today, just 30 minutes, but was glorious.... Its been a while since I've ridden the GRiSO (since January) and the experience reminded me of what a special and unique bike this is....... Looking out on the Potomac just North of George Washington's Mount Vernon. Also rode the Norge, but the differences were marked. The Norge is smooth and a bit insulated, the GRiSO is razor sharp. Brakes, clutch, suspension..... Will have a 40 minute commute to work, cant wait to log some miles!

You should see it now. After Pete and Michael worked on early this year, it's perfect for me.And it's red.

Bet its faster now its red.
Just took the 1100 up to the top of Mt Buffalo had a coffee and return, only 60 ks all in but,56ks are twisites. Its now beer o'clock that will be dealt with promptly with some beef jerky.

I'm off until about the 8th and I thought I might head up your way in the first week of the new year and then head over to Omeo and the come back to Geelong along the coast. I'll pm you if you want to meet up.

Where did you get those red rocker covers?

Mate, they came with the bike.
The PO must've had them done.

Pete offered to replace "those ghastly red covers"   with either black or silver but I decided I liked the individuality of them.
I did however get some of the black plastic half covers, and with those I now think it the red works really well.

I did something...interesting. I suppose you could call it a geegaw. Roper will probably have a small conniption. Some testing to be done, but so far so good....
