funny thing is my OEM 09 wired rims are still close to rideable pressure a year on & still sitting under my office desk with part worn tyres after I bought cast ones (and fitted them). Only thing different is I now don't worry about checking pressure every day......just being honest as there was clearly nothing wrong with mine but forum experience makes you doubt, check & ultimately go safer option - until somebody starts a leaky cast metal wheel porosity thread which are popular in car forum

On Sunday, had a great warm, sunny ride through the Wet Mountains down to Rye, Colorado, past Bishop's Castle. Then we had a wet and cold ride back when thunderstorms moved in. A little over 200 miles for the out and back. The weather did not support photos at the castle so I am posting some from a previous visit.

We were there in 2009 during the MGNOC National Rally in Salida, Colorado. Bishop himself was there railing against the Gubmint. Entertaining, if a bit intimidating to listen to. Classic case of a guy who defies authority at every turn - you know that no jurisdiction would issue building permits for this place - he doesn't give a fuck, builds it anyway.

I'll be curious if the guy that was giving tours in the MG Museum is still there. When I was there in about '08 I got there about 5 or 10 min before the museum was scheduled to open. Was told no tour because the guy that gives the tours was on vacation for the day. They also seemed to want to get rid of me, as they kept saying the museum is closed until 3:00. It was about 2:52 by this time. at about 2:58 they came out and said that the guy that gives tours had come in to show me around and I can go in now. He did not speak a word of English, but I understood everything. His passion for MG was obvious. We were part way through the first floor when a couple showed up. He kept encouraging them to join us, but they were content looking on their own. When he was done showing me around he raced back and started showing them around. Some ho sadly I fear he would likely be too old to still be doing the job... but I hope he is. Anyways enjoy the trip deep space.

great ride, done the Grossglockner pass, some other passes in the Dolomites, then headed to Mandello and then back home. 3274 km. only thing that happend was my starter fuse (the 15 amp) one kept blowing up. Put a 25 one in it and she started all the time. Guess i have to have a look to see whats going on there.

Great trip and pictures DeepSpace, Wonderful view from the Grossglockner. I see they gave the famous door a fresh lick of red paint. I am just back from a similar trip through Bavaria, Austria, Croatia & the Dolomites but on the Stelvio as I had Mrs Wifey on the back, hard to beat the Stelvio for Pillion comfort.

Apologies, I know this is a "what you done with your GRiSO thread" but I had to take the Stelvio for practical two up reasons. The bike ran great.
