| Mine felt like that, till I inflated my tyres. It is well documented the GRiSO aint a sharp handling bike what do you expect from 240Kilos? long wheel base? Throw as much money at the susssies as you like and it may well be arguable if that was money well spent.
Guys who have spent on all the biz may say different but it still will not handle like a sports bike.
Jus sayin

| I opened the box from TLM. Nice Brembo GRiSO rear wheel. No flat spots or scratches. Just some goop left over inside the rim. Twer even cheaper than the damaged ZCV wheel I got from Italia. Wayne, I did ring that wheel mob you referred me to. ring ring Them: '' blah blah Wheels" Me: "I've got a single sided swing arm rear wheel with a flat spot. Can you repair it?" Them: "all motorcycles are single sided" Me: "er..ok.." Them: " send it to us and we can quote. Remove the brake disc. You'll need to leave the bearings in and remove the axle" Me: "it's a single sided Guzzi swing arm. No axle. | From memory these are 6 sided head? if so they require a 6 sided socket - a 12 sided socket will do unthinkable things.
Now where are those easyouts?

Hey Nev, That will depend somewhat on how she performs as her training progresses, but she will most likely do some type of therapy work, visiting sick kids in hospitals, old folks in nursing homes and the like. If she really excels, she may do more advanced work such as comforting kids who have experienced some sort of trauma, or post-disaster therapy. She's just started the training this summer and it's a long process. Once she passes an initial exam, which may take a year or more to accomplish, then she'll be evaluated to see what kind of work she's best suited for. My wife, Esther will be her primary handler (she's receiving training as well to be able to do this) so we will keep the dog, not train her for someone else's use like a seeing eye dog or the like. The main thing is that she's very athletic and very smart, blue heeler/border collie mix, and she needs to have a task to keep her active brain occupied. She also adores people as Steak can attest - he's one of her favorites (see below). And the added benefit is that we can take her everywhere with us. When she's wearing her "uniform" she becomes a very focused little pooch. I know Bill, I should have done that, it's just that whenever I'm on some particularly sweet stretch of tarmac with the tub and the tug, I'm always pining for my GRiSO. Lately, the Diavolo Nero is having to stay home so Esther and I can travel together with Jellybean. The hope is that eventually Jelly will ride solo in the hack and Esther and I will take two bikes and trade off every so and so far. But for now, she doesn't feel confident driving the sidecar rig so for the foreseeable future, this is the way we'll roll. At least we're out there enjoying the scenery and the people and the poutine! | Also, packed up 45lbs of photography gear in a backpack and rode 70mi to do a photoshoot.
Played some freeway tag with a woman on her R1200RS on the way home. Nice looking bike, but a bit too much plastic for me.

Beautiful pictures!! I wish I would have known that you were around: I would have loved to meet you! Another time, I guess! (I didn't know about that cute little shop in Creston. Will check it out next time I am there.)

| Bioman,
I know that you're in Nelson, and we were awfully close, but would have needed an extra chunk of time to get together. Maybe next time. We'll definitely be back that way at some point in the future. As I've said, we love Canada and the folks there. The scenery is great and the country feels a lot more civilized, especially during our current campaign season. We'll be back, and you're always welcome to visit us here - quite a few Ghettoites around here as you know.
Koots' shop in Creston is not a Guzzi shop, but we met the couple that owns it and they seem like good folks, interested in all types of bikes. They also look like they might be a good source for tires and fluids and the like. Spotless shop and showroom, to me that indicates a high level of caring.
