| Yesterday, I called the insurance company for the zillionth time. No, they still haven't approved its repair. Of course not, after all, they've only had it three months. | |

| GRiSO parted the sea of traffic and took us to see GnR. Fantastic show at Dodger Stadium last night. I highly recommend catching them on tour if you like any of their music. They are far better musicians now than in the early years. The Cult opened the show and sounded great too. Best show I've seen in years. The tour hits Oz in February. | I removed my metz sportec m3 front, which was way past it`s best at 6K miles, lost it`s profile completely but still a couple of mm of tread all round. Tyre at least as old as the bike 8yrs. replaced with a Maxxis st diamond cheap as chips, fitted mesen and feeling really Yorkshire about that. If it`s as well good as the Maxxis super sport I put on my Duc I am well chuffed abah`t bin thrifty. Chris | |

| First test ride after rollering and map install. Map works like a champ and have my 100 miles for the first post roller valve check; better safe than to tight. | |

| Had a great morning ride with the GRiSO today. Fiddled a bit with the suspension before the ride and ended up with a better set up. Fun ride! | |

| Nev The termi looks good. I think I preferred it to the Ago megaphone I ended up with. Certainly fitted a lot better ! Nice handiwork for the dbk, though it had an baffle with it - Mario should have it somewhere (?)

| Yep , I rang Mario, he said he would be able dig one up for me , my home made one is'nt very elegant but it did seem to stop the poping on over-run though not much quieter ,plus its still with Beetle' factory map. Turned the muffler a golden hue very quickly Connor so I dont know if thats a sign of a fuel problem or not !

| If you think it is loud now without the baffle, add 40,000k's of wear and it becomes ridiculous.

| I'd like to leave the baffle in but with previous maps it suffered high rev emphysema with the termi.
It's now rollerised so I'll do the baffle in/out comparo again on the dyno this time with the MG03 map.
I love the red and black, Nev. Mine's running sweet otherwise I'd get one.

| Enjoyed some spring-like weather in Melbourne last Sunday. Great day for riding, so headed up to Sassafras and around Emerald on the GRiSO. Roads were relatively quiet except for a gaggle of road pigeons who were heading up the Mountain Highway into Sassafras. Good fun nonetheless.
If I was to have a whinge though, it's that the more I ride the GRiSO, the more I'm unhappy with the current suspension. Harsh over sharp bumps, yet still manages to wallow and sag in the faster corners. Throw in some mid-corner undulations, and the bike is all over the road. Makes riding a bit tiring, and saps the confidence a bit when you have that bad feeling that the bike is unsettled mid corner.
Off overseas for a break shortly, but when I get back I think I might put some serious work into getting the front and rear suspension overhauled. Have heard some good things about Suspensions R Us (located in Seaford, Melb) which is only 20 or so minutes ride from where I live. Will share my experience as I go.
