Ack! Sorry I missed the Guzzi Breakfast, that looks like it was way more fun than fighting the SnoCo squeeze up to Chuckanut

nwreed, Monthly Guzzi Breakfast is always on the first Saturday. PM me your email address and I'll add you to my list. Several of us start out from my house in Georgetown at 8:00 am and ride together to Enumclaw. There's also a monthly brunch on the third Sunday at Smarty Pants in Georgetown. And on the third Wednesday you can find most of us at Backfire in Ballard. Look for Stone's German Garage @ 1549 NW 49th Street - that's where all the Guzzi's congregate.
Welcome to the fold.

Received my tankring from Onur and fitted it over a beer this evening.
Thank you Onur the tank ring is very high quality craftsmanship and easy to follow instructions.

We live just a few minutes from the ferry terminal in Edmonds - what a great day for a ride! Went through Everett, Tulalip, Kyak, Camano Island and ended up in La Connor. I don't usually stop for photos, but took this one at the start.

Gorgeous.
One set of our kids is moving to Edmonds this summer. Ā As they appear to have the room, have thought about leaving my EV out there for when we visit. Ā Given Kathi's doting of grandkids, that'll be often enough to need a Guzzi in the area. Ā

Came home from work riding small winding roads for some 80 km's worth, enjoying it thoroughly. A bit chilly though, the temperature staying under 10 deg centigrade. The bike works flawlessly with the new Ipothesys, my soul purrs along with the engine. The weather forecast promises heavy rain for the weekend, so it leaves me to assemble Onur's tank ring and go and buy a tankbag.
Monday should be sunny again

After almost 4 years of ownership, I decided it was time to replace the hydraulic fluid in the clutch and brakes. The fronts bled through easily, likewise the clutch, although the clutch fluid was almost black. The rear brake caused me grief though, I cracked the bleed nipple, pushed the lever down gently, out came some fluid and then, nothing, I wasn't able to expel any more fluid. The lever would travel all the way down with no resistance at all. After a bit of head scratching, I decided I was going round in circles, so I rode the bike (carefully) to a small garage locally who stripped the cylinder and told me the seals had reversed direction, thus not causing any pressure inside. I always thought the seals were "O" Rings, but hey ho. Anyhow, they charged me an hours labour to fix it, and replace the fluid and all is good again. The wallet wasn't raped too badly so I'm a happy camper. Next job is to change the oil & filter in time for a trip to Caen in France where a bunch of us intend to explore some WW2 sites. At least I wont need to touch the brake fluid again for a few years.....

Just completed a coaching day and a track day at Morgan Park Raceway , Warwick Qld. Limited photos of GRiSO as the designated Pit crew stayed home. The coach's, Dave, Len and a couple of others I've forgotten names for were very good at their craft. As we were flogging our cycles around the track going hard and hanging on for grim death, I would see a coach ahead doing the same speed sitting up and looking behind , mid corner, to see who was doing what ???? How do they get that comfortableĀ The Green Devil performed extremely well ( Suspension excluded ) and a few people came by to comment on the unique sound it makes when "on song" Ā I'm running a "Ron built " pipe with a $60 Chinese muffler and a Beetle No DBK roller map.Ā I had the local "Rexxer map Rep" come talk to me,Ā "What Map are you running ?"Ā "A Beetle map" Ā says I " Beetle Map, what's that ? Never heard of it "Ā I didn't think to ask what he charged for his snake oil, but he gathered I wasn't interested as he wondered off quickly after seeing how sparse my pit was, chair, water , box of assorted tooling.Ā Also fitted some new brake linings / pads. EBC brand, EPFA 244 HH. ABSOLUTELY BRILIANTĀ Ā Twice as good as the standard supplied pads. Some pics to follow .......... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Haha, thought you'd get a kick out of that BeetleĀ Scary fast this bike, to me anyway. Out of the last corner before the main straight , a chicane , 2nd gear, it gets very light in the front end.

I was going to ask you if it needed any tweaking. Apparently not.
