| Goof Off attacts latex paint, so you need to be careful. Goo gone is an adhesive cleaner....if you've got gum stuck in something, it works miracles. Think crying child "Dont' cut my hair! Don't cut my hair!" after they have fallen asleep with gum in their mouth. | |

I think goo gone is citrius oil based - needs elbow grease. Eucalyptus oil is not a big thing in the states

| Prepped bike for pre-rally cabal. Changed the engine oil. Was going to change gearbox and bevel box oil too, but bugger-me-lonesome, I didn't have any. Arse not interested in schlepping down to get any, either. Arse also said don't bother with TB balance. Now drinking bourbon. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| This arse nearly on Tarmac today. Something very slippery mid corner on the range near Nymboida. Kept telling myself "it was sand , it's ok, it's ok ". Eventually I chickened out, stopped and looked over bike. Nothing wrong to cause slide, but the cause of oil sometimes appearing on the right side of gearbox was found, breather return had come off the airbox, Fixed | |

| Hi, I just checked my valve clearance of my G12. As it should be, a nearly perfect 0.1 and 0.15... I have to check a few other things like oil levels, tire pressure. And get my gear together, my gear to leave tomorrow with Moto Guzzi Club Netherlands towards Mandello del Lario. They told me there's a birthdayparty... Aaaah, can't wait to escape to this long ago planned meeting. We'll drive for three days at local roads through Holland, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. We'll enjoy some Alp passes, enjoy the curvy roads and great views... My G12 in his play ground... When it get's dark, we'll rest in tents... We'll drink some elixer (strong beers... ), to talk easier and rest better... Welcome in our (mainly) man's world... hiiiihaaa!! Ad B | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Mighty fine weather already Down There. I need to read up on Ozian weather and geography. Yes, I know it's a big place, but have no real feel for what's where and seasonal temps, etc., beyond the "reverse of ours." Bill P.S. Off for a ride myself now ... on our Cub Cadet. Sigh. Maybe I should get some goats so I could ride my Guzzis more.

| Here's a simple day with maximum enjoyment: I simply cleaned the GRiSO, checked my tire pressures, rode uptown (towards Denver, CO) and stopped by my local Moto Guzzi dealer (Erico's Motorsport) to check on having my Agostino windscreen installed. Just nice to get out and about in 73F weather, blue skies, and listen to the GRiSO sing along. No big deal but sometimes the simplest rides are the best! BTW, Erico's will take care of my windscreen next week. | |

| Went for a gentle days ride... did a 'brazillian' lap of the map-o-tassie..... Departed Launceston at 0722, up past Poatina and across the Central Highlands to Bothwell, across Derwent Bridge to Queenstown, then up the B28 and past Cradle Mountain and down to a coffee shop in Sheffield, then back to Lonnie at 1545. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]mr google said 608km and 8hrs 20mins , I made it 604k and 8hrs 23mins... A bloody good day out. -ok, there was another coffee shop, two fuel stops, a 'restroom' (tree) break, and a quick photo or two. oh, and the farmer droving his flock along the main road... and the cable-tie repair of the snapped hugger bracket...and the bump start after the last coffee shop - I think my battery has finally gone kaput. (A full lap-o-the map would take about 15 hours...) | |

| Ok not today but on Monday I road my(well was then) GRiSO 850 km through rain and fog and sun and dodged some nasty lumps of roadkill that was once kangaroos to deliver it to its new owner in Melbourne(expect him on the gheto soon). So why did I sell, insure related to bike registration is classified based on capacity, the GRiSO is in the most expensive group, I couldn't justify the use it got when keeping it registered was good way to paying for a family holiday.. So small capacity sports-bike is in my near future, the space in the garage needs a bike. The GRiSO went to a good home. anyway will still hang about the ghetto, if guzzi pulls its head out of its bum and makes a modern Le-mans I may come back, nah sorry cannot bring myself to a v7. cya Scot. The bari sax I picked up in Melbourne sounds better than the Briso . then again not much sounds better than a good bari. | |

| cheers Tony, I don't think I fell at the last three hurdles.... so all the planets lining up should see a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nautical Science (woteva that is??) hanging on the toilet wall by the time Santa sleighs by. I am now officially on holiday until the first week in November, when I'll change my status to "between contracts"... Did that lap as a final Tassie run, we are north to the big island next week. It is a bit $$$ to get here, but there are so many great roads here. I remember a Jim Richards quote, when asked which was his favourite race track, and he simply answered "Tasmania". I do have to agree, around every corner is, well, another corner, and when you have run out of corners, there is a set of sweepers connecting you to the next set of corners. I thought that my butt and my neck would suffer a bit yesterday, but it was my wrists that complained the most!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This 2 hour stretch is fantastic! Not to be missed if anyone is down here. In the middle is the drop downhill into Queenstown that must have 40 corners, all second gear, posted at 25km, exhaust echoing and popping off the cliff face all the way down Then the A10 out of QT sweeps back and forth and you almost don't want to turn onto the B28, but you are so glad you did.... gotta be one of the best in Oz, and I've never heard of it!!?? Its open and fast, its twisty and tight, awesome scenery that you can't look at for more than a 'wow' before the next corner speeds at you.... It seems like nearly all the government engineers ride bikes, most of the roads are so good. I'm trying to find a way to convince the beautiful wife to move down here! | |

| Hey Pat Go easy, we don't want too many to know how good it is down here, we don't want to be swamped by too many north islanders. Take care, wish you and yours well in your move back home north. Cheers | |

Last Holiday (too long ago) I toured Tasmania. 8 days at 400km per day sounds easy. I was stuffed and a new front tyre was bald on the sides with less than 6,000k. 400km can take 8 hours, av speed 50kph with only short stops. I wasn't cruising either hence the requirement for a new front tyre to ride home. For those who like to sit up there are some major highways, but that is boring, like the north island. |

I am as ignorant as a typical high-school student of Oz's geography and topography beyond the placement of the big burgs -- but at least I care -- so I went to see where you rode, and tossed in Google maps terrain view. Fine; mighty fine. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bill
