| I'd be very surprised if it couldn't be revived. I also find your bike fascinating as a case study in neglect. How many Km did it go without an oil change or any other service? 30,000? It's the poster child for the toughness of the 8V motor! | |

| Finally added adjustable levers to the GRiSO. No pictures of them on the bike yet because I am a loser......... They fit well, and the range of adjustment is perfect. $34 on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MBE26K0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Of course I wipd them down with Clorox wipes to kill the Corona Virus [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Finally go around to finishing up the fairing addition to the GRiSO. I thought the fairing would vibrate too much so before it gets irreversible damage, make some brackets to take out the flex. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Skived off and went for a ride to prevent me smashing laptop with 4 pound hammer. Had trouble finding neutral with the engine running. Might have to get bleedy with the clutch. | Made the first turn with the 1400ccm beast after winter. This addition really is hardcore and the best what I have ever done to my beloved GRiSO. A smile to the very rear of my ears! Yeah! | |

Did you manage to get into her innards before hand, or did you run out of time? Have a great trip. It'll be an awesome family experience! (.......or a recipe for divorce ) | |

| Washed it, scrubbed the mold release off the new rear tire and went for a ride. Several roads in the local State Park are closed for the season but one is still available. A two lane roller coaster that demands respect. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Got R5 on front. Bit of an adventure, really. The screws on the left side fork hub stripped the thread out. Fortunately, the screws are 35mm, and the hub is threaded all the way through. I used 40mm socket head screws to replace them. Previously I'd used the prescribed 25Nm torque when installing them, but I reduced it to 20Nm to (hopefully) prevent future stripping. | I consider the day a success. Removed tank ( I was Patient) replaced air box 'condom' that was leaking oil, checked other hoses all ok. Spent an hour with a small drill bit clearing out the breather nipple under the fuel tank, by hand. ( can these be unscrewed from the tank??) anybody?? also replaced the 'too short' breather hoses. Found the 'lost' Key Code, entered 10 yrs ago in the back of my GRiSO manual. All in all, worthy of a quiet red. | |

| Pinchucks and very small drills are your friend with these breather nipples.

| Thanks Pete. Its an old county shed, 4 blocks from home. Built in 57, but solid. Still a lot to do, but coming along. The wife reckons it will keep me out of the pubs and brothels during retirement. | |

Yes, it looks stupendous! Especially like the tricolore floor treatment. Reminds me of our driveway in Atlanta in front of my beloved GarageMahalo. Sigh. | Snap. But it was the Avon on the rear of the Jaffa, and after cleaning up the sticking sliders on the rear caliper. And not perfect - a little rain through Peats Ridge in the morning, and a heavier lot between Aldi & home at dusk. A cheaper price for fuel was a consolation.
