- It only took a month after turning 71 for my wrists to start killing me when riding my GRiSO. So today I raised my handlebars 10mm and took a quick 50 mile ride to see if that addressed the arthritic wrist pain. Sure enough...that did the trick (along with some aspirin for my back...LOL)...at least until my next birthday! Funny, my wife was starting to chat-up the new V7 III Anniversary my dealer has on the floor as a replacement for the GRiSO! I told her there really is NO replacement for a GRiSO, but I understand as she really likes her V7 Special. I'll be there someday...
One canNOT "replace" the GRiSO, but I understand. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Storny sleeps in the Moto Grappa harem tonight, but, as do all there, wonders if the sultan will visit. Bill

| Ordered some surplus bits and pieces from the old importers through their website Moto Guzzi Store
Some bargains to be had if you know what you are looking for. Good thing is you can search for any part number, through the search bar, and if it's in stock, details follow. Not a high performing site and it will take quite a bit of time to look and/or place an order.
My Sport is now 10 years old and some of the parts are looking a bit ordinary - I spend more time riding her, than cleaning.

| There was a time when a certain idiot left Beetle's place to ride back to Bungendore and turned right onto the Sturt highway just as his low fuel light came on. The idiot assumed he'd fill up at the Gumly Gumly, (Yes, such a place does actually exist.) servo but in fact he'd missed it. He managed to make it to Gundagai where he crammed 14.85 litres into his 15 litre tank, (It might of been 15.85 into a 16L tank, anyway he was very close to running dry.)
That was about 65-70 Km from memory but by the time I hit the Hume I was travelling at 80kph and plotting where I was going to find a Jerry can!

| Me too. Took GRiSO for its first run since February. I've only ridden a 34HP poorly suspended wheezemobile the last 5 months. Holy Sphincter-puckering, Batman! I'd forgotten what a soul-stirring, adrenaline inducing, shit-eating-grin producing engine a properly tuned 8V can be. Be still, my beating heart! A little bit of wee came out. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |
