| Rode up into the hills today (from Melbourne, Vic AUS) thinking it would be a good day. Sunny and dead still in terms of breeze. Whilst the roads were in good condition most of the way, as soon as I got into the hills it was cold and wet. No rain, but the road surface was slick with moisture. Usual story. The road exposed to sun was lovely and dry. The bits in the shade were still soaking wet.
Happy to put my hand up and admit I am the world's most timid rider in wet conditions. In a car, fine......if it steps out on you a bit, just a nip of opposite lock and all is good. A bike......the first you know of poor traction is when you're sliding into the scenery on your arse, with a 250kg motorcycle doing its best to roll over the top of you.
I'm fairly intuitive with most things on wheels in terms of handling characteristics. I used to ride a dirt bike sideways most of its life, but bugger me, with a road bike I have a real issue knowing how much grip I have at any given point. A black art to me, and I know that it limits my confidence and ability. Shits me no end to be honest.
Aside from that, I'm happy!!!

| Beetle, no mate. Didn't drop it. Sorry if I gave that impression. Was out giving it my first test after installation of Matris forks and a Wilbers rear shock. It's just that the margin for error on a motorbike is less than any other conveyance on this world. I've had some arse-clenching moments though (like we all have), and as the years go by, one's sense of self preservation tends to overwhelm youthful exuberance! | |

| So right. I'm pist. I ride like you in the rain, it's altogether. Michelin or4s are good though. I benefit feel like I'm gonna crash, but still it's best to ride on the fortis side. | Don't worry Brent, I'm the same, especially with the number of diesel trucks and 4wd around dripping on the road. Last year I saw a young P plater come up to a roundabout at around 5kmh and hit a patch of diesel and down he went. And Ron that bike of yours is shit hot. | |

| Went for a ride this morning to recharge my batteries, as it is an extra revenue weekend I took it nice and steady. It was a crisp cool foggy morning here just stunning. Feeling refreshed I headed home unfortunately took no photos.
Near home I had an interesting encounter with a door nob in a four wheeldrive, apparently he did not like the fact i could filter (legally) to the front at a stop sign. When we took off he attempted to drag race me and run me into a parked car that was up ahead. I was having none of that and twisted GRiSO's throttle and let the torque do the rest.
My new found mate in the tin can decided to sound his horn (I think he was applauding my warp factor acceleration) then pull up next t o me lower his window and abuse me. I raised my visor looked at this germ of a man, playing with my life in his 2 ton truck and offered to continue our conversation by the side of the road. I also informed him what I was going to do to his anatomy after the conversation.
Not sure why but his face changed to a lighter shade of pale, his jaw dropped, he closed the window and drove off away from me. Shame really, he seemed like such a nice fellow!

| I have been riding GRiSO for almost 3 years now and although the pegs go down on the right,i am always careful in left hand bends. Went around a left hander today and forgot. Side stand went down with a bang, bike went into wobble, note to self, don't do it again.
I was surprised when i looked that its the part of the side stand you use to hook your foot on that touches down first, maybe i can bend it out of the way a little more,
