I took the bar end mirrors off that I put on a couple of months ago. I have gone back to the stock mirrors until I can find a set of bar ends that I can live with. The arrow style knock offs were just too small.

I've been fiddle-farting with my mirrors too. I'm trying the Aprilia mirrors again. IIRC, the left one vibrates too much, but I want this rain to piss off so I can test them.

+1 on the rain, nothing to do (yes I know I could be cleaning the pipes) and would love to go for a ride.

Well I got quite a treat today. My friends John and Elizabeth were headed up this evening to spend the weekend at their family retreat on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands north of Seattle. Elizabeth's father owns a fully restored 1956 de Havilland Beaver float plane so this family travels in style. And they know what a treat it is for me to fly with them so they invited me to go along. Their pilot, George is a wonderful guy and I've had a chance to ride with him a few times. The flight takes about an hour and we dropped John and Elizabeth, their two kids Christopher and Scout and their awesome blue heeler, Roxy off at their Orcas Island dock and then George and I flew back to Seattle. He'll go up on Sunday afternoon and bring the family safely home.
Of course I rode the Diavolo Nero to the airport for the chance to pose it in front of airplanes. I wasn't cleared to take it inside the security fence, but I got a couple of decent shots.
And just in case you've ever wondered how to haul a sea plane out of Lake Washington, check this out:
I am one lucky S.O.B.

My GRiSO was in a line-up yesterday with five other Guzzis here at the Moto Grappa.
Not quite as sexy as a vintage floatplane, but it was fun to have an unsanctioned, unplanned, and unexpected Moto Guzzi rally at the Moto Grappa.
Actually, it’s still happening, but all the sweet machines are inside after their photo-op, as it has rained, rained, and rained here.
In addition to my own happy harem of three, have been storing temporarily "Florida Larry’s” Norge — see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for background if you care.
Then, yesterday, Iowan friends Matt & Lorraine came in for a few days away from their Flat State home, bringing along two Guzzis, one of which, sigh, used to be mine.
Hoping to get a quick ride in today, along with a “conjugal reunion” with my old Ballabio, which Matt now has but brought to me for nostalgia’s sake.
Here is one shot that shows all six Guzzis in a chorus line.

I rode the snot out her. Gas mileage for the trip was 31 something mpg
I managed to figure out how to adjust the red shift indicator light so it doesn't come on, but it's a pisser when you hit the rev limiter!

Those Norj's are bloody spaceships. Especially with the luggage attached. Must be comfy cruising at warp speed.
Noticed just now...is that exhaust can stock on that Norge you think? Seems to hang low to me..

Beautiful shots!! I am starting to warm up to the Centauro: I always thought that bike was just too odd-looking, but now I think it looks spectacular in yellow.

I get that but the non 8V models were different if I remember, better looking IMO.

Bought Michelin PR3's from Chilliwack Moto Guzzi and spent the day breaking them in while riding in the beautiful Fraser Valley near Vancouver. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Is her name "Winter?"
Anyway, went riding with Matt yesterday.
I have to say that his (my former) Ballabio with those double Mistrals has to be the best sounding motorcycle -- of any brand! -- I have ever heard. Riding behind him as I did while I could keep up was a joy. He lives in Iowa, so some of the roads here made him stoooopid ... and happy.
See, e.g., this short section of Virginia SR 600, only two miles, if that, from my driveway ...
We then went back to the Moto Grappa and fiddled around with the Ballabio. Today, it's pouring here, so we'll figure out something unneeded to do to the Centauro.
