We don't have such a system here ... well, not in Virginia, anyway. Our interesting -- and more positive -- wrinkle is to award "safe-driving points" for every year one hasn't gotten a demerit. Can earn up to 5 before capping out. Details here if you care: Virginia DMV Point System We got our Virginia driver licenses in 2013, so next month -- barring a blue-light discussion! -- I'll have 3 "good" points to offset sins. I tend to drive our cars carefully, as I am "saving" my points for two-wheeled misdeeds. Heading down now to our "GITMO Room" to endure the treadmill, then to the Moto Grappa to befuddle myself with getting the Norge back together. Yesterday, the valve covers, oil cooler, and other odds and ends, etc. Today, hope to R&R the front rotors and ABS wheel, and then reinstall the forks. Naturally, I'll let the GRiSO and EV watch and laugh. Bill

| Just fitted a set of Pirelli angel GT to the Tenni, trying a change from the PR 3. They were a good tyre but I still thought that thr PR 2 were every bit as good without looking like someone went nuts with a skill saw cutting lines across the tyre Left them on a bit long as usual they definitely don't owe me anything, the back was starting to cut up and felt like crap. | |

| Still double D's. Wheeled the GRiSO out of the garage and turned it around ready to zoom out once normality returns. Might fit a fender eliminator over a beer or two this arvo.

| Guzzi Cat, the Angels will serve you well. I got an embarrassingly high mirage out of mine, managed to scrape the pipe once or twice, and they never put a foot wrong! Still unsure as to why I didn't replace with same... | |

| Close call today. Was coming up to a intersection to turn right. A ute stopped at their stop sign. just as i was crossing in front of him he pulled out. i hit the brakes as hard as i could and just as i was about to hit him i managed to veer to the left and stopped, which put the bike on an angle which i only just managed to pull upright, it almost went over. There were also cars passing me on the left, so any further left and i may have been taken out by them. The ute drove off and after about 10 secs standing in the middle of the intersection, i nailed it after the ute. got up to him about a kay up the road, got his number plate and pulled over to call the cops. I called *555 and as it was going through the menu to connect me to the right division, i decided to not go through with it. Meanwhile a corolla pulls up in front of me and a nice young lady jumps out and asks if i'm alright. She was behind the ute and saw it all. She reckons i was just about to go over the handlebars from the braking. by that time i had calmed down a bit and thanked her for stopping. Watching her walk back to her car in her cutoff shorts changed my line of thought to a happier place. I then managed to ride home, without to many more dramas. | |

| Spring preparation. Got the piping polished, and cleaned the wheel spokes. At least... some of them. Salt and dirt have done their job well last winter. There was I, sitting on the ground, polishing the spokes with a shoe lace, started with lots of courage... lost it after one side of the rear wheel. Lots of spokes to go | |

| Well-yesterday-I was taking my new Guzzi home...then a taxi pulled out in front of me. Just missed the little shit. Lost traction on the rear tyre-it was skipping all over.
Need Pilot 4s instead of the stock Metzerls.

Need Pilot 4s instead of the stock Metzerls. Get the PR4s right away! It will boost enjoyment and safety immeasurably!

| Got to disagree about Metzler's being shyte, I have had great performance and mileage out of the Z8 Roadtec versions (several sets). I too have PR4's which are great and are certainly better than the stock GRiSO Metzler's and probably better than the Roadtecs but if I couldn't get the Michelins I would happily use the Metzler's Roadtecs again. Keep in mind there are many versions of Metzler tyres and it is unfair to label them all as crap especially if you haven't used them. | |

| Weekend ride to Florence, AZ, and looped back before breakfast. Put another way, rode 100miles to have breakfast 15min from home. Afterwards, cleaned off enough (insect) protein to feed a family of four. Spring has sprung. | |

| My rear stock Z8 was killed in 4000 miles and the front made it about 6000...plus they didn't grab all that good so to me they're shit. At least according to my riding style. For me, Dunlop is where it's at... | |

| Spring has come. First ride of the year. Was a 480km turn with new tyres (Conti Roadattac 2 EVO), new front brake (EBC Rotors and SBS brake shoes) and the latest rollerised map. Just around 12°C, but blue sky. What a wonderfull day on a wonderfull bike. Thank you again for your labour beetle Sven | |

| Interesting to note the differing views we have on tyres. For what its worth I rate the PR4's as the best tyre out there-try the GT's they have a slightly stronger casing and side wall, eliminates cupping. I have had the 3's and Z8's both very good on the little GRiSO and the Multi. The GRiSO also likes the ST's as well. | |

| Rode home on the new 2015, the replacement for the written off one. Interestingly this one has the red decals on the wheels ,the earlier one did not, this one has black tank badges the other they were red and this one has the bricks in the seat, the other did not. | |
