| One day, Wayne, one day, you will drink from the fountain of enlightenment and your cool-ade days with PC will be a distant memory - apart from trying to flog it to someone else, that you do not know, nor will you want to. | |

| Well actually I'm at the point of buying the cables just for the diagnostic side of things, now.
Then I would like to copy my stock map, and also download the PC-V additions and look at creating a new map.
Play, play, play and then one day try and upload it.
So CO2's were set today, except the left side air screw was nor responding well to adjustments. DON'T PANIC! Bella doesn't have the sacred cow screw. It's a different system. So afterwards he suggests I buy a can of toxic stuff like this (shows me a can) to clean it out while it is running. Why didn't he clean it and reset it. CLOWNS TO THE LEFT OF ME .....................
Ok, Mr Roper. Stock air filter loaded. Before dyno on Saturday, where should I place the air temp sensor? I had it right on top of my air cleaner, half way under tank. Mech said move it as far forward to ambient temp as possible. |

| Is the Bellagio box where the sensor usually sits? If so leave it there. | |

Be aware that moving the sensor will change how the pressure-air-temp correction table affects fueling. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| Original position was in front of left snorkel, as I have removed the air box lid I had it positioned at the very front edge of the air box using the filter clamping bolt.
Moved this afternoon (under instruction) to top of centre frame rail about 3" back from steering stem. Wiring harness is the limiting factor. What say ye?
As well as the stripped out Allen bolt heads I had problems with yesterday (some dumb fuck mechanic), I also noticed today my fuel level sender wires had a strange bit of loose electrical tape. Upon removing it I discovered bare wires that had been soldered back together. So some ham fisted rock ape wasn't able to disconnect the 2 pin plug 1" away without ripping wires apart.

| What did I do yesterday? Spent the day of my thirtieth birthday in the best way: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It was a great day in a great place. In six years of riding I got/traded for a new (to me) bike nearly every year. But I think this green thing will be the last in a while. I can imagine taking it for a ride on my sixtieth birthday. On another front, some GRiSO porn courtesy of my friend Joseph L., the proud new owner of the stunning redhead: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| For the first time in about 4 months, I got to ride GRiSO for grins! Without one single jot of concern for the double demerit weekend, I gleefully hooned up into the hills. There was minor moment of concern when a black wallaby gave me the stink-eye, but I gave it a wide berth and it bounded into the bush instead of moi. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| It would seem that the NSW highway patrol is saturating Southern Command this long weekend so you're probably fairly safe. We drove down to Candello to look at a house and saw a HP car, marked or unmarked, (plus two bikes.) every ten Km or so. I reckon this is the way they work during holiday periods. They will take one particular area/command and dedicate a huge majority of the state's resources to it. Next holiday period they'll do the same somewhere else. It's certainly tiresome. Glad we're in the Jimny which has trouble exceeding the open road limit by much more than 10kph! Pete | |

| I saw one HP car when I was schlepping back from Tumut. He was hidden twixt the bushes to trap North bound travellers. I was heading South, be-smirked. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Some very nice roads around Candello. Thinking of moving? The country around there is a lot easier on the eye & spirit than Bungendore. Ocean's not far away either. | |

While I love the Southern Tablelands both Jude and I feel that the time has come to leave Bungendore. When we came to live here thirty years ago the village was tiny, population of the district was only about 3,000 and only about 800 souls actually lived in Bungendore. We had two acres either side of us and there were empty blocks all over town. Now there isn't a single block left in the 'Old' village, the developers are raping the outlying areas and the actual centre of town is about to be bulldozed and a huge supermarket put in that will completely destroy the entire character of the place. Add to this the fact that the village population is now over 6,000 and the people who are moving here all seem to want to live in a 'Suburb' rather than a small country town. Our new neighbours just insisted on putting up a huge, ugly, colour bond fence despite our protestations against the monstrosity. we are now surrounded by barking dogs and houses that are empty all day as their owners are at work simply inviting thieves to help themselves. The whole feeling of 'Community' has almost gone and what is left is disappearing rapidly. There are still things we like but the times are a changing and at least now we are still fit and healthy enough to move without too many issues. Candello is only 20Km from Bega where they are building a huge new base hospital, important when you're getting older! As you note the roads around Candello are great, it has a nice pub, people seem friendly. It looks to our eyes to be a fine place to retire with a climate a lot easier on my poor old arthritic hands than the bitter winters of Bungendore! I intend to take the business with me but whether Samples will want a bar of me as a tiny home based workshop on the south coast remains to be seen. It worries me not unduly though. I'll be quite happy to keep working as an independent a couple of days a week. Either that or I could sell the business to someone who wants a nice little part time job. We'll see. Pete
