| Just had my bride sit on the bike with me, her opinion is ok for a short town ride only. However, I went for a squirt solo and the seat does take a bit of getting used to. My shoes no longer sit flat on the ground- that's no biggie though, its definitely a lot firmer too, but in a good way. Where it stood out is when I'm cornering. I can feel what the bike is doing a bit better now ( if that makes sense ) and can start accelerating out of the corner earlier. I love it - recommended purchase Caution: These are the ravings of a very mediocre rider | |

| They are firmer, but your arse will thank you on the next long ride. Also, despite what the haters say, you can slide your arse off in the tight stuff. If you feel like going into boy racer wanker mode. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Corbin has a reputation of being for looks, not comfort. Never had one so I can't attest of that for sure but everyone I know says it's not an all day seat... | |

| Not a hater, but I haven't had any luck with Corbin with respect to quality (construction failures) or customer service. So, I avoid the Corbin at every "opportunity".
Keener...is there an automotive/motorcycle upholsterer locally that can do the job for you? That might solve your need for a new seat and spec-in what will make the Mrs. happy...just a thought.

As for the GRiSO the stock seat is just ok for me and adequate for the pillion but i would like better ..if Corbin made a two seater i would consider with a little more height aswell. The Corbin does look good though...

| I reckon the Corbin is the ducks nuts. 1000 Km day no trouble. No more pushin back from the tank and movin yer arse around in the corners easier than on the stock plank. I bought the seat for my 1100 but as soon as I got the 1200 home, on went the Corbin. A coupla weeks ago I went up the coast to get on it with a friend of 30 years and her partner. Johno has an 81 Shovel. We went for a ride and Ali jumped on the back.We did 150 Ks and when we got back home Alis comments were more than favourable, but not to be repeated here. Ali is a petite woman and was surprised at the room she had. Cracker of a seat. | |

| Rode a quick 120 miles with the 1100 today (my 1200 is still down) and gave it the berries. I've been riding it all week as well... Anyway, checked the oil and it was down almost a quart! Lots of consumption in my opinion. Do any of you guys with the 1100 have had that similar issue? Bike has 20K miles now and I did the schedule service at 18K so it means that my engine has gone though a quart of oil in only 2000 miles! FWIW, the 8V uses no oil at all and it was the same with my 09, just wondering... | |

| Does seem excessive , my 1100 has half your mileage , i checked it often when it was new and it used about 1/2 quart or so between oil changes at 5000km....but now at 15000 km its on the mark or near .. I check it cold on the side stand and i have marked the aftermarket oil temp dip stick ...i did that just after a hot change so the stick would reflect 3.6 liters with filter 10w60 motul full syn ... works for me

| Just got back from a quick morning ride. I pulled up at the servo to give GRiSO a drink, and there's this guy on a Ducati Diavel in the 98 Octane Q in front of me. The Ducati looked brand spanking new. It was so clean and shiny! The guys leathers were immaculate and his tricolore helmet looked clean and new. The huge rear tyre looked as if it had done a few k's, so I figured he was just a Clean Person.
Here's me in my bug guts covered jacket, torn jeans and grotty sneakers, scratched up filthy GRiSO (also covered in bug guts) and helmet also streaked with insect gizzards.
Fuck I felt superior. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| While the uterus is in hospital, what did I do to Bella today ................. lots of sweat and grief but its all good now.
Bike is running way too rich after a Guzzi mechanic screwed my TPS way up. So I bit the bullet and ordered myself a Roper approved standard paper filter, K&N gets binned tomorrow and then a whole new tune.
First. On Cali/Bellagio the TPS and CO2's are adjusted manually at the throttle bodies. To do so requires 1/8" BSPF fitting in exhaust headers. I have 18mm bungs in my header pipe for dyno A/F (wide band O2 sensor) so I had to buy a tapered tap, $56 thank you for coming, and BSPF plugs to insert in the the middle of the big bungs.
Well one bung required a 10mm Allen key for removal, drilled, tapped and the little plug fitted neatly. The other bung required an 8mm Allen key (too small for the bung) but had been butchered by the original dyno tuner.
Remove whole exhaust system, drill bung, insert easy out. Its effen tight, sometings gonna break aaarrrrggghhh! Fuck it, hammer in another Allen key, ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr p-ting. Got it!
Okay, no wheels except my dead pushy but need to go shopping for a new O2 bung. Neighbour drives me to exhaust shop, bungs lying on the floor, scored a couple of freebies. Kept an 8mm for a spare, drilled out this big whooah of a bolt that needs a furquen big shifter and inserted my little tapered plug. Will only be used for tomorrows tuning then insert the 8mm Allen key bung.
Bella used to run sweet on a PC-V until somebody fucked with it. This is my last effort with that piece of shit .................. only because me and computer keyboards don't get on. If it all don't work properly I will bitch slap myself until I get cables and Beetle tuition. |

| Went to a Ducati specialist who has a soft spot for Guzzi's. Ok, TPS was set way to high, adjusted. TB balance out despite being done recently in a local Guzzi shop. CO2's were all over the shop, rhs responded well to resetting, lhs almost unresponsive (big adjustment for a minor change). As it's an air bleed screw, the assumption is its partially blocked. Got some u-beaut Evinrude TB cleaner that has skull and crossed bones on it. Might point the exhaust towards a neighbour.
Running a lot smoother, not as smelly (rich) and the harmonic/resonance I complained about previously is not as pronounced. A little farty poppy on the overrun.
In the absence of cables and tech know how, booked in for a dyno and remap on Saturday. |
