I talked to the Guzzi Tech Rep here in SE USA and asked about the V100. Maybe next year, again. Must be having lot's of issues to fix. Been a long time since it was made in '19.

Disappointing power numbers and wet weight for sure, is anyone else totally confused by all the naval promo stuff?
In any case, looks like the GRiSO is still king of guzzis.
I'm struggling with the concept of how a completely newly designed model could still weigh north of 230kgs. The BMW R1000 is around 200kgs (dry). Ditto for the KTM Super Duke. I think even the Mutistrada with all its touring bits hanging off it comes in lower than 230kgs.
Is it the Guzzi swingarm arrangement causing this weight situation?
For a start comparing wet and dry weights is a moot point. All bikes, IMHO, should be weighed wet. Who rides their bike with no fluids inside? Probably not for long until it seizes anyway...

Tony, I totally agree with you, but don’t know where Dry weight came into this discussion. The 233kg quoted for the V100 is ‘Wet Weight’, from MG’s own literature.
In Tony’s defence, it was my previous post that brought dry weight into the discussion via my mention of BMW and KTM dry weight stats. In hindsight, I concede that comparing dry and wet weights can be misleading.

No mention of weight, I’m concerned about the reported low seat height, but we’ll see how riding feels.
V100’s power is +5hp up, and torque -3.5Nm down on the GRiSO
Wet weight now given as 233kg. I personally find the heavy, a mere 7kg lighter than our Grisos.

The numbers I found for the wet weight of my 2012 GRiSO mean that the V100 is almost 20 kg lighter.

On bikez.com a search for my 2015 GRiSO 1200 8V SE, shows wet weight of 222.0 kg. This makes the V100, 11kg HEAVIER than my GRiSO. Can anyone confirm the GRiSO’s wet weight?
Bike World on YouTube have been to the factory for a short ride around Lake Como on the V100 s model ie. the green one with electronic suspension. The journo states that it is very much a touring bike, being able to cruise about on the huge torque curve. Sound familiar?
I still very much like it’s looks, but serious doubts about performance, for what I want. Wait & see.

That 222 kg figure is the DRY weight number on every site I found.

Wet weight of a stock GRiSO is 240kg.
The numbers I found for a later model GRiSO were 556 pounds (252 kg) based on a Cycle World article.
556 - 513 = 43 pounds difference

Technical Data V100
Quote :
Wet weight 233 kg (According to guideline VO (EU) 168/2013 with all fluids, with standard equipment and fuelled with at least 90% of usable tank volume)
GRiSO 8V 1200 according to user and workshop manual: 240 kg (ready-to-drive). Personally I believe 240 kg read-to-drive is wrong or a typo. https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/moto-guzzi-motorcycles-GRiSO-8v-se-short-shift-review/ => MEASURED WEIGHT (tank full/empty): 557/531 lb. (253/241 kg)

Motorcyclist magazine's wet weight is within a few pounds of Cycle Worlds, so 253-255 kg sounds likely.

what is the bean counting about a few kilos... it is a fantastic new Moto Guzzi there will always be people who will not buy it...but then they should not rail against this Guzzi....
The traditionalists among the Guzzisti must now be very brave. Yes, the engine has suffered a lot emotionally. But viewed through the tester's glasses, it does its job really well. Also electronics, chassis and brake do not have to hide before anybody. The V 100 has become a really good motorcycle. Whether it is also a "real" Moto Guzzi is secondary.

English language version - and he didn't say he had a problem with his quickshifter
Possibly too much tech for me - i don't want a quickshifter and i don't want the engine braking turned off in sport mode. In fact the only riding mode i want is economy for when i misjudge the fuel range

Looks like Guzzi is doing this right..... Has a full run of accessories including matching top and side cases, center stand, aux lights, engine guards. They should have the bugs worked out and maybe even other versions when I am ready for the move in 2025. Will be hard to give up the 1200 Sport, but will be over 100K by then.
If they do a Stelvio version, I will buy that, and sell/take the Stornello out of ADV mode, keep the 1200 Sport. If they do a Norge or keep the Mandello as the ST will sell the 1200 Sport and buy one with triple bags.
The GRiSO is staying regardless, though I may have to go to a radial clutch master. The Mana Bars are about perfect, I test fit them, just need to get powder coated and mount up.

Sweetspot looks to be 7K, my favorite shift point........ Sure you can rev another 2K and a bit more HP but...... I wonder how long Agostini or Mistral will make up a Y pipe to get rid of the cat..... I did that on my Norge and it woke up the motor. NOT more power, but the motor spun faster/quicker up the rev band.
The GRiSO with AGO pipe sounds so good at 7K, especially in the brief off throttle moment between shifts.......... Makes my hair stand on end thinking about it.

The V100 has 6-axis IMU, lean angle sensitive ABS and traction control and a shitload of electric and electronic gimmicks. It is too early to tell, but we´ll have to wait if this new generation of bikes will be desireable as 10, 15 or 20 years old bikes. Or if they will turn into a biker´s and bike mechanic´s worst nightmare ...
