Indeed looks are entirely subjective , and for this old fart the V100 is a bit too origami / folded stealth aircraft for my tastes I would prefer a more organic style . Think Ferrari vs Lamborghini

Organic?
Orgamic?
I, too, am an Old Flatulent, but I find the V100 a blend of those, i.e., orgasmic.
In my future? Probably not, but sure hope the model sells well.

I like it. Inoffensive design by committee IMHO. UJM-ish and accessible. Euro 5 fart cannon. Dash from the Aprilia 660 range.
Not sure on a purchase but hope it sells well.

I've endeavored to ride air cooled shaft driven motorcycles since 1984. I had a 10 year stint in Watercooled Shaft driven Sport touring bikes when my trusty XS1100 passed the 100K mile mark, and rather than run the bike into the ground with a rapidly deminishing parts supply, I took it off the road and restored it to a near new state where it still is.
My Water cooled bikes were also IL4's a C10 Concours, and FJR 1300. Then I discovered Guzzi, started on a GRiSO, then a Norge, then added a Stornello, traded the Norge for an MGX21 (MISTAKE), sold the MGX and bought a 1200 Sport and Convert.
I MUCH prefer the standard two clock gauge setup, and don't like digital dash aspects of the GRiSO or 1200 Sport, but accept it as a modern necessity. The Brilliance of the bikes offset that, but at least they have needle gauge tachs, and the 12S a Speedo too. The Digital speedo on the GRiSO is fine. A big turnoff for me on the V85 was the ride by wire and TFT dash. So, I bought a Stornello and heavily modified it to accomplish the same mission. It is a fantastic little bike and is as capable as the V85 in real world riding.
I'm torn on the V100. Seems to have Guzzi character, and shaft drive, and they integrate the water cooling well, though the 'finned' areas on the production model seem less than some of the early versions. A BIG turn off for me is the TFT Dash and the ride by wire. I'm withholding judgement till I can see and ride one.
As for digital tech, I use it. I have an old smart phone I use for music, and GPS/Map/Digital Speedo programs. I also have wireless headsets in most of my helmets, but my Normal phone is NOT paired to it, or the TomTom GPS. I ride to get AWAY from others, enjoy the isolation and freedom, but also like to listen to music on occasion. This addiction to having instant social media involvement and phone/text is not a good thing. How odd it is that we are all more connected than ever, but peopes sense of isolation and lonliness are higher than ever.
I LOVE motorcycle riding, and while I will always try to keep a newer, modern model with lower miles and some modern 'advantages', NOTHING replaces the sense of an old school riding experience, and why I will keep my old models. I'm just glad that Guzzi's seem to age well. My GRiSO (07) and 1200 Sport (08) look, ride and run as new, as does the refreshed 1976 Convert. I have no idea how long I will be able to ride. Vestibular issues and TBI almost ended my riding in 2016, hip and knee replacements in 2020 threatened the same, but I've been able to hold on and do so safely. Diet, exercise, rest and medical treatments have fixed most, or at least are keeping me on two wheels. Who knows what the future will hold. Eventually, they will be lined up in my garage, polished and cleaned, admired and passed on in my estate. I'm HOPING that one of the new V100 models will make its way into the collection. Unlikely that it will have more traditional gauges, but looking at the V7 850 offerings, they recognize the audience, so we will see. The 1200 Sport will cross 100K in the next few years, and may not be up to continued transcontinental sport touring. I retire in 2.5 years (for real this time) and I want to be able to disappear for 4-5 months. I don't think the V7 Stornello is up to the 10K mile heavy loaded trip, and the 1200 SPort may be long in the tooth, so this is my main interest/draw to the V100............
OK, ramble done.

I went to the 100 and 1 year party in Mandello and seen it, sat on it. Will be a comfy ride. more leg space. knees not hitting the cylinders. more straigth up sitting position compared to the GRiSO. Bit more of a touring bike compaired to the GRiSO. Oh, and it has wings ... i think. price ... about 18000 euro here in NL and 20000 euro for the green one. not cheap.

Guzzi V100 Mandello. The price for the basic version, polar white or magma red, is 15,749 € key in m. (250€ registration included) - For the S version in green 2121 or gray Avantgarde it is 18,249€ More or less the predicted some time ago. Please do not make unnecessary or demeaning comments- bookable at the rally in Mandello (10-11 September) and from 12 on motoguzzi.com -- in the pictures note the bags that will be available and their width, the helmet fits
Hello, in Mandello I took a seat on the V100 Mandello. Even with 170cm I get both feet well on the ground. The V100 Mandello will certainly find many new buyers.
For me it was positively surprising when I could experience and hear two of the V100 Mandello.
They sound really good and bassy like a Moto Guzzi and that with today's Euro standards and a water cooled engine.
More recognizable / audible than the V85 and V7 models.
It is a nice bike, but is "nice" good enough to sell it to new Guzzisti? It has some pros like e.g. shaft drive and "Italian flair & design", but for 16-20,000 EUR (out-the-door) you can buy a LOT of other motorcycles that are (probably) better-quality, (arguably) better-looking, and (surely) have a better dealer network.
I don't want to troll here, and in fact I am considering a Mandello as a possible GRiSO-replacement (although your comment about reaching the ground with both feet at 170cm makes me worried that it is perhaps a somewhat smallish bike), but I doubt that it will be a big seller outside of the converted.
Read another article saying it won’t be in Australia until this time next year, so I’m not getting too excited. Notwithstanding, I love the idea of a slightly more upright riding position, ABS brakes, new engine, and better suspension (hopefully).
Slightly dubious about the size/height of the bike as a couple of others have alluded to. I’m a somewhat lanky 184cms and if the seat height is any lower than the GRiSO, that may cause issues.
The seating position on the V100 fits many sizes, as I experienced in Mandello. The advantage is that the seat was kept narrow at the front, so sizes from 170 cm fit perfectly on it. It is the same seat height as on a GRiSO, so all-clear for taller.
With the V100, no one has to wait 2 years, the factory has planned and tested for a long time. The overall quality has been rated very high by the motorcycle press so far, which is also my impression.
The times of financial hardship are over under Piaggio.
Yes, the V100 Mandello is the first model; a wider family of models is planned. So also California and sporty offshoots. The engine should be producible from 850-1200 cc.
rick pope - Motus was a really cool idea that managed to come in a little too heavy and a lot too expensive. The dash, yeah… no way for me. https://seattleusedbikes.com/motorcycle/2017-motus-mstr-2
bioman - an affordable but good looking electric bike? Let’s ask HD how the Livewire is selling, or Zero, or Alta, or any number of other unheard of and / or has been companies. I’ll agree MG is far too late with the Mondello but electric? So, so many reasons to say nope, let’s start with where does the electricity come from? I have no numbers but am sure better than 50% is coal fired steam turbines. The SW states already have brown outs from excessive electric demand due to AC use… what will happen when even 10% more electric vehicles come on line?
Back on topic, I’m impressed with the prices quoted on 2023 Mandello from AF1, and would definitely consider a Mandello if all the character isn’t neutered out of it.
"Moto Guzzi presents Viaggio nel Tempo, a comic album signed by Marvel Entertainment entirely dedicated to V100 Mandello. The new and much-awaited Moto Guzzi stars in a tight-rhythm story alongside Wolverine, one of the most iconic and popular superheroes in the Marvel universe."
What about the "long legged and easy to live with" campaign back in the 80s, some of those ladies are quite attractive, I mean really Moto Guzzi has use comics to sell motorcycle's. Also what happens when the bike falls over buggered exhaust pipes and off the road for a while because you can't get spare parts.

I’ve been on the Moto Guzzi UK site, prices given as: * V100 Mandello £13.500 * V100 Mandello S £15,750
Pleasantly surprised as I was expecting prices circa 15k / 18k. I’ve booked a test ride on the S version.
My dealer, A&D Motorcycles, in North Wales says they will be attending the launch on 23rd October & expecting bikes in dealers from November. .
This hasn’t come too soon for me, I want a new bike over this winter. Its looks have got it onto shortlist of Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, and KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. Those 2 bikes have huge power and torque of 170hp /125Nm and 160hp / 140Nm respectively. These compare to 115hp & 105Nm for the Mandello.
No mention of weight, I’m concerned about the reported low seat height, but we’ll see how riding feels.
