Really I think Black is the fastest color in 1100 units.. Very Happy  Really all the 2 valve units have enough power for street riding. Right kind of power anyway.. I just enjoy the motor, like my Aprilia Touno twins,Honda VTR-1000,Duc 1100, Older 1100 stone etc..  I always cover the dash with a plastic bag when washing the bike. Learned that from the Aprilia stuff. That and the gas tank cap sealing issue
There were signs it was not up to snuff, and the same fix for Aprila seems to fix that. Same cap setup. Even the pegs pretty much are the same, and I used the Knight lowing setup off my Aprilia Tuono..

I would replace the fuel filter if it has not been done.. My 2007 bike had a whopping 5400 miles when picked up 2 months ago,and filter was swelled, and suspect. . The bike did hold 6.5 US gals from dry, so should have decent range.. My stock unit runs perfect, and I am just going to ride without mapping anything..More riding time will tell me more there.

I am not a big fan of jacking up from the motor to do swing arm bushings. Using the frame is super secure and just less stuff in the way..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
