The removal of the side plates means there was no real support in the footpegs. You raised the alarm early on when you suggested the M8 bolts may not have the strength to support any weight bearing. Turns out, the the bolts are the least of my worries. The lower sections of the frame, welded on to the tube that the carries the swingarm, are the weak point. The right side was bent in my get-off in 2018. I've since been thinking about it, and I wanted to add some support. I would have liked to add a straight support between the two sides, but unfortunately there's no straight path betwixt the left and right sides. Hence, the 3mm mild steel bar, plus the 18mm aluminium tube.

Spooned a fresh Michelin Road5 on the rear to match the new front. Breaking the bead is a bitch when you're trying to do it without real tools. Then, getting it to take air was equally frustrating. I finally gave in and took it to my shop where I have tire lube and such.
Before installing the rear wheel, I took the lower shock linkage apart and lubed it. It really wasn't as dry as I expected. Luigi's supervisor must have been watching that day. But getting the wheel bolts started is a real PITA. Next time, I'll have a couple long studs ready to use as guides.

You only really need one. I use a long 70mm stud that accepts an allen-head driver. Place it on the top, hang the wheel through one of its bolt holes, and insert the other three screws. Then remove the stud and insert the remaining screw.

I've done the same thing essentially, but I took a hex head bolt, cut the head off and with a hacksaw or a thin cut-off wheel, cut a slot in the end so you can remove it with a slotted screw driver once you've installed the other three bolts.
I also drilled the heads and installed lock wire, that's been shown in another thread - scroll down a bit here:

Since NZ is in Lock Down, there has been no riding. But was able to post a new video to YouTube tonight, of a ride we did on the GRiSO before the world got all crazy.

42 feet tall, so they say, tallest free standing table Rock formation east of the Mississippi.
Super nice ride on the unwashed GRiSO. Little to no traffic, kept my social distance.

Does it distract your vision when riding is the question I think?

No, that's not a problem, it's way below his line of sight.
Looks okay, Mark, okay, but not spectacular, sorry. Yours has a much flatter line than mine. But hey, why does it matter what I think? Go for it!

OK, I'll help then (not that you probably want it).
I don't like the strip of orange above the screen. I would rather the screen just finished by itself.

I very doubt its slab carrying capacity, in any case I much prefer the "fruit from the vine". In that regard I do reckon its good for at least 2 x 2 litre goon boxes of Dry Rose .......... mind you, as long as the ventura bag is turned around and sitting on the seat.
