Rats! Hopefully he'll also tell of the feats of strength witnessed picking that bastid off the ground. They're light when in motion but on their side... whew!

| I remember going to a race meeting at Thruxton circuit over here on the back of my brother- in- laws nearly new Suzuki GT750. We watched the racing and then he proudly reved the engine as we left, performing a lovely circular arc and falling into the fence where he had left the steering lock on..........Never let him forget that one. | |

| Post roller upgrade: Adjusted the valves and changed the oil & filter. Tomorrow the remapping begins in earnest. Bugger me, I can't believe how quiet the engine is now. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| It's going to be a slow transmutation. I can be somewhat anal that way. Another logging run today. Fucking disconnect and zero length file! SCREECH! ...but after another complete wiring reconfigure, muggins checks for an ScanM5x update. Oh looky, update available and in the README 'fixed loss of data...' ..followed by two successful runs. That is a very good question. I've just finished the Mistral Hi-Pipe dB killer map for rollers. It was just six runs, but the original flat tappet version took probably 4 times that. The map that it was based on, probably took 30 or 40 runs. I have all the maps going back to the beginning. There are hundreds. Next up is the No dBk version. Hopefully, 5 or 6 runs will sort that as well. Same goes for the factory pipe and Termi. That's still a lot of runs and a lot of fuel. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| It's interesting to note that Mark has experienced none of the 'Brick Wall' at 6,000 RPM effect that my bike suffers from even though both are in an effectively identical state of tune. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that *Something* else is amiss with my engine. The only way to ascertain what exactly will be a full tear down and examine. That is on the cards when I have my *New* motive unit installed in a couple of weeks time.

| Took the GRiSO for a run through the twisty and hilly roads in my part of Tennessee this morning (a tad nippy at 60 degrees F for this time of the year). Just the kind of riding the GRiSO was designed to tackle. It was a great ride (solo run) and I never get tired of it...even after 50+ years of motorcycling. I did have one moment that tested my reflexes...after exiting a series of "S" curves that had changing elevations, I saw a big buck deer running in the culvert to my right side. As we all know, they will instinctively try to take out motorcyclists...not this time, I immediately straightened the GRiSO and let the Brembo's know I needed to QUICKLY slow to let the deer cross the road in front of me. It was close (I could almost see the deer's name tag...Rudy?), but no harm done. The rest of ride was without incident, but still enjoyable. I'm ready to do it again...without Rudy! | |

| A group of local Guzzi riders (incl me) went for a beautiful 300 km ride yesterday in the West Kootenay region in BC, Canada: Castlegar - New Denver - Kaslo - Meadow Creek - Nelson - Castlegar. Temperatures varied from 6 in the morning to 26 in the afternoon. Breathtaking scenery, perfect twisty empty roads, sunshine, and the sound of a couple of Guzzi's - what a day! And good old GRiSO did so well!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]P.S. No need to come up with snide remarks about my very comfy sheepskin seat cover! | |

| I have had the Agostini X pipe on the 1200 for awhile now I have Al's Map but have not set inlet valves to 0.15 mm (6 thou),the snorkrl has been removed and the muffler was mounted conventionally not high. Friday I took the bike to Stainless fabricaters for an extension pipe so the muffler could be mounted high. This is the position at which it was logged and mapped. I must admit to not being all that impressed with the muffler. It is quite small and "tinny" with the db killer in. The bike seemed to go better without the extension. I took the db killer out and put the "X" on my 1100. Mounted conventionally. Wow bloody impressive without bein too loud. So today I put the Agostini Stainless reverse cone muffler onto the pipe extension on the 1200 without the db killer. I think it might be a tad loud and will try with the killer later. The end of the muffler is past the indicator by about 4" but the bike goes mightily,a little surgey at 60 kmh in 3rd but seems responsive enough everywhere else. Will try a piccy...... Whew! It's that time of year here too and I've been seeing quite a few about. I always worry when I see one because there's usually another one (or two or...) about. I saw a buck the other day with a nice set of antlers sauntering across the road; luckily he was aways ahead and I was going slow. Mark, what version of ScanM5X did you get? I'd emailed Christian a week or 2 ago and he'd sent me two updates to try after I told him I couldn't enter the A & B coeff. values and the AFR numbers in the files looked bad. Hopefully this coming weekend I can resume the Zard logging. I couldn't do any logging runs this past weekend since I was silly enough to do a half-marathon. The motorized runs are much more fun! | |

Hey, Bioman, thanks for the pictures! I'm glad someone from the Ghetto was able to join in. I ended up having to attend a practicum that day, so for me it was a no go. Bummer because I really want to do that ride. The organizer did mention that he wanted to make it a yearly event, so I'm hoping we can get a few Grisos together to get out there. Riders from Vancouver and Calgary have about the same distance to cover to get to Castlegar, so we may get a couple of Albertans too.

I still think there a few bugs. I don't know about the coefficients, because I'm now using an HC-06 to read the LC-2 directly. It's a much better system IMO. The data is more accurate and it seems as though ScanM5x can log data at a higher rate. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .
