Few hundred miles on the local twistys this weekend. Washed it and decided it was time to remap and loose the snatchy throttle. Leads to connect due Tuesday

Well spring finally showed up. Got her out for a spin around saylorville lake. Nothing too crazy, still lots of sand on the corners, but man does she pull. Fell in love all over again!

Beetle your ride seems very similar to my rides.
My biggest angst is the tribes of Harleys that get up to the high country for holidays/weekends only to scrape side boards on the bends doing circa 40 kph. These plicks never move over and really only do half the pace the European bikes can do in the hills. For the life of me they really shit me. Cant steer, cant brake, make too much noise etc, etc, etc.

Ahh Greggorious, even a man of your tolerance would be strained.
Did the Bright, Tawaong Gap, Falls Creek, Mitta Mitta for lunch then home via Tamganbalanga Yackandandah (quick coffee) and home. Will be close to last time this year as its is getting pretty chilly up top and will snow soon.

Got some good news last week - I survived the redundancy purge. Celebrated by riding to work every day. Only a short ride but still enough to put a smile on my face.

Saturday I took her on a 325 mile shakedown run with all my luggage getting ready for this Wednesday when I head out on a 5 day rally in Tennessee. I had to rig up the Givi box and it held up beautifully.

It took a few miles to get use to the weight, especially when backing up but now I am comfortable with it.

What I did with my GRiSO on Saturday was to meet a Guzzi riding visitor to the area and take him for a run through Death Valley NP. A careful eye on range and fuel locations was required (for me), and a good time was had by all.

Went for a ride for ANZAC day with Pete Hughes from Wildguzzi, his son Chris and their mate Baz. Ended up at Mt Macedon at the memorial cross. Lots of people around especially Asians and Indians who really don't seem to understand road rules or waiting for a break in traffic to cross the road. Huzo's got a 2v Norge, Chris has a 900 Yammie Diversion and Baz has a 1151 BMW. We had an absolute blast, travelling a license losing speed everywhere and we only saw one cop and that was when we were actually doing the speed limit.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Beetlemapped ..... went out on her for a couple of hours to experience the effects ....

Beetle you are either a genius or in league with the devil!

Snatchy throttle is gone,power throughout the full rev range and 10mpg more than I was averaging.

My only regret is not having done this sooner.
