If so, they've just bought the multi-Japanese brand shop (Champion Motorsports in Eustis) around the corner from me.
Bugger - that place was OK for general stuff I needed at short notice, or was difficult to ship (tires, oils etc).

If you look carefully you can see the only tin of grease that's been shared amongst every bike built since 1921.
Its still half-full.......

I saw them testing one on a Dynamometer, and they said each bike gets tested this way.
They certainly gave it the beans - revved it pretty high - and followed a prompted script.

Model Year 2015 ?? Produced in 2014 perhaps ??  Its been sitting somewhere foar a while, and
gawd knows where this new dealer got it from......
I'd be suspecting bad/contaminated gasoline, ans subsequent clogged fuel filter/lines.

You probably already have them, but I have GuzziDiag, cables and map read/write software if you need them.

2014 was still the Black Devil bikes...2015 and up is the Rosso Trophy...
According to Mr. Roper, mid 2016 is when production stopped but I have no idea when the 2017 were actually produced.

They got the bike in a crate and empty of fuel so I doubt it's bad gas at this point. They just need to set it up from scratch, TPS calibration and all that good stuff.
I do have the Guzzydiag cables and had the map and all in my crashed laptop so I'll need to download all that again on my new Mac...
Was gonna retrieve the bike this afternoon but I've been riding all day so I never got the time to do it. I will have to do it sometimes during the week now.

the tps works? hook it to guzzidiag and see if the value moves to 85 at full throttle. Maybe the tps connector is out?

Paul, they have the bike so I can't do anything with it at the moment but I will install Guzzidiag and beetle map after break in.
I just need those jokers to give me a FUNCTIONING motorcycle and I'll take it from there.

I know they drain the fuel at the factory after run in but do they undo the tank for that process or just suck the gas out?

I'll bet the dealer didn't pull tank till yesterday and found the problem. Info I got was factory kink. They put 2mi on it before the boat, but did it go over 3Krpm or did they let the Americans fix it (let it go).

I forgot about that and that happened to my 09 but it was the tranny breather hose that got pinched in that case...
I found out at my first service, the plug blew out of my hand upon unscrewing it! Freaked me out, so I knew some was wrong.
Followed the line visually and saw it was routed under the tank...after removal, it was so obvious. A zip-tie kept it in place after that.
I broke the bike in with an obstructed breather hose but it never hurt the transmission in the 36K miles that I owned the bike.
You worked on that bike under warranty Steve, remember?
Replaced main seal flange bolts that were too long an created an oil leak.

Got my new bike back. Runs mighty fine now.
It ended up being a pinched fuel line so the dealer got a new one right?
Well, they told me Saturday that the new replacement line also had a pinch in it and was a tad longer so they didn't use it. Whatevar...
I don't know how I remained cool and all but since I was tired of waiting (2 weeks) I asked them to use the one from my 2013 that I traded for the new one and do it FIRST thing on Monday!!! They agreed.
Got a call around noon today saying the bike was ready so I went to get it after work...if the bike wasn't ready, I'd got it out of there anyhow and put a freaking line on myself but I'm glad it didn't come to that.

I'm grateful for the help that Guzzi Steve provided me with all this...

Fuel light came on a 76 miles...fucking wankers never filled up the tank!
