| The adapter that is needed for Guzzidiag has the FTDI 232rl chip in it. That chip is so popular that the Chinese make fake ones. They work, and look the same. Now FTDI had enough and their latest driver (2.12) maybe send to you by Windows update, makes fake chips useless. So If your adapter has a fake chip, if it is used once with the 2.12 driver in windows is dead. There are ways to recover them, but for most people here is to complicated. Our engineering team is engaging with FTDI to prevent these problems with their future driver updates via Windows Update. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |
