Subject: What's this under the seat? Sat Jul 13, 2024 5:53 am
Hi all,
Starting some basic maintenance for the first time on a newly-acquired 2014 GRiSO, and saw this connector under the seat. It has a rubber grommet wrapped around it, suggesting it fits into the metal bit in the closer picture, but it's being a bit stubborn.
I can't find what this is in the service manual, can anyone help?

It’s the clutch fluid bleed nipple. It’s on the end of a hose from the slave cylinder to make clutch bleeding easy. This is a good thing because for some reason CARC bikes are murder on clutch fluid and it should be changed at least yearly. In Southern Tx, where it’s probably humid as buggery, I’d do it twice a year probably, but I am paranoid……

At least you have one. Bought a 1200 Sport and went to to the clutch bleed. Low and behold it's gone. Someone must have damaged it and instead of replacing, they put a spacer in instead. Makes you wonder if they went to the trouble of putting in a spacer wouldn't you put in a bleeder nipple. Oh well have replacement on it's way. Harry
