Just picked this up yesterday. Loving it so far but... That fugly end can has to go! Suggestions? I read shorty cans are to be avoided. It already has an Agostini mid pipe as original cracked. Thanks

From what I can see GPR have quite a selection of end cans in carbon, SS, ally etc. Just wondered what can anyone here actually used without fueling issues.

First question. Has it been rollerised? If not everything else is moot.

Ah yes roller tappet conversion, sorry for being blonde for a moment! Yes the previous owner was extremely keen to point that out to me a couple of times when I went to view it along with the beetle remap and some other stuff I have already forgot...lol.

Good-o.
There are a host of aftermarket pipes out there. Make sure you choose one that has a decent dB killer and run it with it in. For optimum results a remap will probably be required.

Ordered a Mistral black slip on from AF1 Racing mainly because it mounts in stock location so I can still use the Hepco panniers. And yes it has db killer. Also a pair of Pazzo levers while there.

All that does is launch yet another different image hosting site of which I actually have no interest to join as had to use numerous different ones for different forums. Thanks anyway.

Welcome Crowtree99!
From what I have read on this forum, the exhaust back pressure does affect performance to the worse when changed with a different exhaust (less power and torque). For this reason the Mistral High pipe seems to have the sweet spot close to the original in axhaust lenght and back pressure not to affect the midrange performance. I was lucky I chose this exhaust per accident a few years earlier: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Mine has not been rollerised and had to modify her last weeks. Should be home soon from the mechanic!
I'm looking forward to your pics!
kr, Erik

Eureka! lol Thats with the as purchased look. The dropped pegs have already been removed as I could just not adjust to get a good shift position, mostly because these actually pushed the pegs out an inch too so was always having to curl my foot back in, not cool! Found in my stash an old set of standard pegs from my 2002 Honda CBR1100xx that fitted perfectly much to my amazement. Next changes will be to remove the original "Spacex" silencer and replace the levers once they arrive.

Hi Tim I don't know who Ed or Bill are but it's nice to know my bike is a good un! As far as the original can, I'm probably keeping it up in the garage loft along with the spare gas tank and Brembo calipers. But you never know....lol

Ed's bike formerly Bill's those are my hand grips from my 07 . You got a good one BTW have the mid pipe welded at the joint held by the spring apparently the Agostini item allows the mufflers to vibrate too much and will vibrate the muffler to pieces it happened to a guy in Connecticut that sold me my mid pipe it wrecked his carbon mistral
