| Egads! Don't buy original Guzzi leads. They nasty and expensive. Get NGK leads and caps.
NGK SB05E caps

| Most often you can use wire snips and cut off a bit then screw the cap back on. Don't cut a lot or wire will be to short. Like Beetle said you can use wires from NGK , or go to auto store & match it up. | |

| It's a flattie I'm afraid. The HT lead is the least of your problems.
You probably won't need a new lead. Just buy the NGK caps and screw them on. Note that they may look a bit weird and you'll have to bend them at a fairly accute angle to get the lead under the cover but it's usually doable on Grisos, Stelvios? Not so much, especially on the left.

Pete Thanks Pete. My worst fears have manifested. This bike has 17k miles on it. I called AF1. They said bring it. We will open it and check for damage. If so, pay $2400 to fix. There is a chance piaggio will cover the parts like they have in the past for many customers. So I am out $1200 for labor which I can live with or shell out $2400 which I am not cool with. I hope rest of the engine is not damaged.

| As a 2010 you may be lucky and it will only need a 'B' kit which is an easy four hour job. If it needs a 'C' kit it will need the heads off for shimming, about Six to six and a half hours. Hopefully the boys at AF1 will be able to leverage Piaggio into giving you a kit as I know that in the US the kits all retail for the same price so you can't mix and match bits to make savings like I do here. | |

Thanks Pete. I just checked. Looks like i have an early type valve cover and no punch mark. So C it is. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I'll head over to AF1 next week and beg them to try and get piaggio to cover the part atleast.
