I think MGV’s post deserves its own dedicated thread in GRiSO Inspiration . . . Mods!?

Took the GRiSO for its annual MOT. Obviously, it passed with flying colours!
Also, some mods done over the last week or so: Replaced levers with adjustable units from AVDB. Changed original grips for slightly thicker Biltwell ones. Removed original mirrors, blanked the threads and fitted bar end mirrors.

New tyres fitted yesterday, so this evening I popped the wheels back on. The weather is looking fair tomorrow, so a gentle ride to scrub them in, then I can ride it like I stole it!!

Michelin Road 5. The last two sets were Dunlops, so I'm interested in seeing the difference.

I made the frame out of 12mm hydraulic tubing that I nickel bronze welded, I have a full set of Ridged tube benders and would not attempt it without them, I machined the mounting point end pieces for the frame out of steel bar and simply copied the panier carriers I have.

Did the annual warm up with instructor from our local auto-club. The instructor had a v100. the first time i saw it in real, looks better then on the pictures. after 3 hrs on the track at avg. speed of 40 km/h my right cylinder started to lose oil. thought the screws got loose, but no:

The grey & black ones have glue on them, a bitch to remove & get hard, blow out a piece and leak'
Get the green ones for older square heads. Maybe the ones that are metal w/rubber if they make them.

The only rocker cover gaskets worth a pinch of shit for the pushrod motors are the ones made by Valpolini. They have a metal core with some sort of coating on them. They won't tear, push out, leak and last pretty much forever.

In the afternoon a quick check to brake and clutch fluid (this need urgent replace) and some metal work to reinforce my valpolini luggage rack.

New handlebar day. Working on getting the ergos dialed in to sit more upright and I think this might be a winning combination. Renthal medium road touring bars with up and back risers:

Well today I started putting Yellow Bike into hibernation. I have three registered bikes, my Mana and the two Grisos. All three came up for renewal within a month! As a little old pensioner that's a big hit! So I'm taking Yellow Bike off the road until spring.
I'm also negotiating the purchase of another Mana. A GT, (Full touring fairing.) model with ABS. It's got a blown motor but I know where there's a good bottom end with a seized top end so I'll build one donk from two, swap all my good gear from my NA to the GT and either on-sell the NA or keep it for spares.

The Mana is such an unusual bike. Can't think of anything similar with a CVT but they get great reviews. You're clearly a fan Pete
