Bike in question is 2010 GRiSO Rollerised. Wilburs Mono-shocks to fit MOTO GUZZI Stelvio 1200 (LZ) from 2008 Will this be suitable as rather buy in the UK than have to import. Are the shock fittings identical from Stelvio to the GRiSO. They dont seem to make a shock for the GRiSO which is weird. The rider weight differential with a passenger is never going to be acheivable but can allow.

They are NOT THE SAME although in general you can swap with Stelvio (OEM & replacements) BUT the Stelvio shock is longer/higher (which suits me as tall Btard & I think improves the handling) & there are differences based on year etc apparently.
You can also buy standard length & adjustable length GRiSO replacements that do the same thing (I did that with a Matris adjustable). In my experience switching from OEM should give some improvements but it's hard work to get to 'solid performance' suspension with a GRiSO without chucking lots of energy, time and money at it

Am 6.2 hence the Stelvio option, ordering a new Stelvio shock for a GRiSO does not give much room for grief with the vendor if the fit is no good ie spring diameter. As for performance so long as it goes up and down & dont bounce over bumps and dont bottom I'll be happy I see you crossed out the Matris did you not like it? Did you buy a used Stelvio shock?

Matris didn't work for me despite trying 3 different springs & every combo of settings (it came with insanely high rate spring) so figured the underlying damping circuits were as bad as OEM. Fitted a used OEM Stelvio & it feels better, not perfect but can live with it.....

Once my Matris was re-sprung, re-Valved, re-oiled and rebuilt it's actually a very nice shock. Pity I had to spend so much more time and money to get it right. The Matris inserts I have in the Sachs forks also needed work but not as much as the shock.
I'm not intending to spend anything like as much on the crashed shitter. The forks will be re-sprung and re-shimmed and I'm going to try an Ikon on the back. My aim will be comfort over precision on that as it's supposed to be my 'Touring' bike eventually.

I may be a bit late to this but I ordered a Wilbers for 2014 GRiSO 1200 after a very disappointing experience with a very hard sprung Matris. The Wilbers I find is superb. A tad firm in touring mode (particularly on poor broken UK tarmac) but once fitted and adjusted, and the forks overhauled it was a very 'creamy' ride. Smooth as. I think marketing 'b''sh@t'about bespoke this and that from Matris is garbage, and you just get a stiff shock which as Pete says you can then overhaul and spend time and energy on to make it work. But I found the Wilbers great straight from the box just some damping adjustment to fine tune and that's it. Expensive mind.....

Are you using the 640/standard or 643/external reservoir?

No idea on model numbers but it’s a remote reservoir. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I also have a Wilbers rear shock on my 2014 GRiSO. Much better than the stock unit. A bit more shock travel would have been nice though.
Got the Matris fork cartridges up front. Those have been a bit hit & miss. Hard as a rock at first. Had to take all but one click of pre-load off them to let the bike settle down "into" the forks a bit. Also took a few clicks of compression damping off which helped. Still a bit firm, but much better than when I had them fitted.
