Roller or not Empty
PostSubject: Roller or not   Roller or not Icon_minitime1Sun Jul 19, 2020 7:59 am

Hi Folks,

Is it possible to tell whether the enclosed bit of video shows if the cams are rollers or flats?

Thanks

Andrew

I would say flats but not a great video. Just looked again on a bigger screen and they are flats.

Agree they're flat......this is what rollers look like when they are at home !

If you are asking because the service sheet says it has 'replacement cams & followers per warranty'; a lot of failed bikes just got replacement flats before they went to rollerisation for all failures (sometimes with other bits changed - mine was in this bracket).

BTW I remember you roughly can tell if they are very badly worn when the follower tops drop below the guide level (or above as can't remember exactly) of the guide...it's all here somewhere
