Peter, Tony and Mark - re the disk issue and many thanks for your input guys.
Peter you mentioned the bobbin tightness issue to me some time ago and I had a half arsed go a fixing it - but I must iterate it was half arsed at the time. It was on my radar to look at more closely when she came back - unfortunately, living on a property, I have too many big boys toys demanding I fix them.

Peter - I should add that the poor rectification attempt on my part did elicit some relief for from the shudder issue - which made me think that warping was not the problem and it was the bobbin tightness that you picked up on.

Well, the numbers are in - I (well Mark and I) have finished developing a map for the 2V 1200 Breva, Sport, Norge. This is a journey that has taken 12 months and Mark's had lots of patience with me.

The latest map is Sport-FU2-4V-E3F2.2015.01.15.bin and combines buttery smooth throttle control, great economy when touring and still has more than enough animal when the hurry handle is given full range. This morning, I touched on 4.5 l/100km on the way to work - this included a "spirited" climb up Bulli Pass and sitting around the speed limit on the M1.

Mark,

Thanks heaps for your maps, your feedback and the loan of your gear (which now goes to the next in line - Gregg!). There is a large amount of Bourbon in your future - hopefully at the next Cabal.

Bloody fantastic, this place - AWESOME! - smiles for miles - go ride

Sounds great! I have yet to test the maps that Mark sent me in November as it's still sub-bloody-zero here. Mark, if you don't mind, I'll send you a PM and ask that you send the newest one over. It likely doesn't make sense to ship you some bourbon from Canada, but once I get out for a ride in the Spring, I will happily fund a local purchase for you over there!

Cheers,
Shaun

Hello everybody, I am Emanuel from Greece and I am a happy rider of a Breva 1100, 2vpc of course.
First of all please excuse my limited ability to express myself in english.
I am following this forum for months since very interesting things can be found in here!

On my bike I have a K&N type air filter, a Y pipe to eliminate cat-con and an oval carbon can, usually with dbkiller.
The bike runs fine but reading all the stuff in here makes me want to try remapping.

The question is this: what is the configuration that, with a good remapping, leads to get the best out of the 2vpc engine?

Should I put the OEM filter back on?
Should I put the expantion chamber & cat-con back on? This is point of dilemma because Greece is a quite hot country!

Pete and I (hello Pete!) exchanged a few couple of pm's a few months ago about this still haven't cleared it into my mind...
