| Mark,
From my records I have the following maps from you for 4V 1200s: Norge-Sport-FU2-4V-5DE5.2014.04.14.bin 14/04/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-551F.2014.04.16.bin 16/04/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-5520.2014.04.16.bin 16/04/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-B942.2014.04.21.bin 21/04/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-77FD.2014.04.30.bin 30/04/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-AB1C.2014.05.14.bin 14/05/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-A86E.2014.05.19.bin 19/05/2014 Sport-FU2-4V-839A.2014.05.22.bin 22/05/2014
This one I modded myself - took 3% out of TPS 5.2 & 5.8 for 2000 rpm and higher Sport-FU2-4V-839A.2014.06.22.TMMod.bin 22/06/2014
Your 839A map was a tad rich on small throttle openings (I think these were richened up from the A86E map, for the above TPS/RPM ranges) and consumption went up a little and the exhaust was starting to blacken at the outlet.
Have I got the sequence right? I think the best one to date was the AB1C...

| Tony, just sent you a new map. Minor changes to the main fuel based on your comments, plus fixed the delta-fuel map. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Cool, Mark. I will hopefully pop it in tonight and test it tomorrow.
BTW, there seems to be some comments (I may have misunderstood them though) on setting the CO to 0. Is this the case or should I still try and get it to the best and smoothest idle?

| Best and smoothest idle. The latest 8V G maps I tried to get them to require minimal CO adjustment, but there's too many variables to say 'don't adjust it'. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| OK Mark - only did 42 km this morning... Uses less fuel (read normal to what I have come to expect of recent times) but I think this is where the proverbial hammer hits the nail right on the head, squarely.
Really smooth in difficult conditions (strong side winds and sometimes head winds), seems to have the power (as usual) from 2000 rpm up to well into the sevens - I would assume it will get up towards 8400 in the usual hurry, but I will try this later today when I have to accelerate to merge lanes after work - averaged 5.2 l/100 km on the dial, which I am happy with.
No vices to tell about. Thanks Heaps Mark, well done!
Still more than happy to test any other iterations you may come up with.
Interestingly, I know a bloke in the Qld Guzzi club with the same model as me, but with the Stage 1 kit fitted. Unfortunately, he was too interested in "tasting" some alcoholic beverage rather than take my bike for a spin - can't say I blame him, it was the Ruptured Budgie rally after all - it would have been a good straight up comparison. Unfortunately I had to leave at sparrow fart the next morning due to work commitments.
The Stage 1 kit is a 2 into 2 exhaust (Termi), "special" ECU (I have heard it is the same map as the standard Sport, just marketed as special) and ram tubes instead of an airbox/filter. This system currently retails for around $2400, sounds good awesome but is way overpriced for my thinking. Anyway, next year at the Ruptured Budgie I may get a good comparison - don't wait up though.
Hopefully, he or someone else will roll up to the Ragged Fringe in September and we can do one sooner...

| Tops!
Since you're my only Sport 'customer', they probably won't be any more unless you find issue. Well, davem has it too. We'll see.
This 'Stage 1', is the exhaust 2 into 1 into 2 or are the cylinders separated? Does it have O2 sensors? --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| 2 into 2 but share a common opening where they come together - I think - or maybe they are just welded together for strength Stage 1 Kit. I don't believe they have an oxygen sensor, but I could be wrong (I know unlikely but still remotely possible...)
I consider my setup to be as good as, if not better than the Stage 1 kit anyway.
Originally, MG listed a Stage 2 and Stage 3 kit for the 1200 Sport (4V) but I don't believe these were ever actually released - probably effort went into the MGS01 instead...

| From the website:"kit consists of a stainless steel 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust system, with double oval silencer, specifically mapped injection/ignition ECU, a pair of inlet ducts and a carbon canister for oil vapour recovery"Thats a 'specifically' mapped ECU. Not a 'special' map. Likely just a different delta-fuel map. My have different ignition map. I wouldn't mind a peek.

| I have ridden a couple of 1200 Sports thus equipped and to be honest it always seemed to be all mouth and trousers. A bit noisier seemed to be the only real difference. The system still runs a working O2 sensor I believe.

Be good to get my hands on the map - just for comparison mind. If I do, Mark, you will see it pronto.

| Mate (onya Mal) has just purchased a Le Mans 1100 injected in the UK. Any maps available for one of these? How close would it be to the GRiSO 100?
He is travelling over to "try it out" and attend a rally next month and has just purchased a set of GuzziDiag cables. When I catch up with him in a week or so, we are going to attempt to extract his V7 map to see if something can't be done. Since he has the gear he may be interested in doing his 1100 too!

I could probably do some tweaks. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| You're funny. No, not even close. The exhaust is essentially the same, but the Norge has dual O2 sensors. Therefore the breakpoints are different for each bike. Using interpolation and spreadsheet jiggery pokery, I tried to make a Sport map from the rather more elegant Norge map. The result? The Sport ran like a two legged pig with terminal flatulence. The cams have different part numbers, so I wonder whether they have different profiles? --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Mark,
Yesterday I put back the 77FD map. Rode it to work today. All I can say is this map has wild animal written all over it. It does not quite behave nicely when rolling off/on the throttle but sure goes like stink. Better economy too.
The B4DE map still uses too much fuel and doesn't seems to go as well.
I Haven't looked at the fuelling parameters, but will - soon.
Maybe this is the better map and just needs smoothing out for on/off throttle?
