Just tried exhaust again with baffle in and the bike did not cut out. Once warmed up it dropped to 800 rpm and ran rough but at least some improvement.altering the baffle later see if that helps then maybe a butterfly valve in the link pipe so i can alter flow of gases. Thanks craig
What you did to your stock exhaust is a nice work but I believe is counterproductive. Adding a butterfly valve will make it even worse. I was chatting with the Mistral guy a few years ago. He said that, as a general rule, Guzzi engines need long pipes to work well.
So, I would put your nicely modded can on the shelf and would get a good aftermarket. There's plenty really nice exhaust out there. Want to free the wheel? Make a high pipe, like for the GRiSO.

Getting one of those would cost you more than rocking horse shit - the polished versions. While that is a great exhaust, I believe it is NLA. It does sound awesome and needs a good map. It's a 2 into 2 into 2, I think.
Forget the trumpets and the ECU is woeful, if you happen to find one

Hi All valid comments and thanks. My breva still has the collector box in place which i believe is were most of the wxhaust magic happens.i have a beetle map on the bike which after mark tweaked several times runs as sweet as. I have no low down jerking smooth smooth torque right across the rev range and for me ample top end.the bike will cruise all day fully loaded and 2 up.so for me , i am more than happy and i like the side view

Well then that is a result
Also i am impressed with being able to keep a centre stand and i think that the pipes are quite pretty Â

Just come back from 1700 mile tour of scotland and the breva was faultless. Fuel average was 51mpg.that was done the old way of divide fuel used by miles done as my trip screen gave up 2 years ago. This bike loves the twisties and the hills.just got some 1200 sport bar risers to try for next year and maybe a tail tidy project over winter.

Very I have a second stock pipe. A S/S venom A delkavic They all have there own merits. Delkavic sounds the muts nuts but i hate the look of it. Venom needs a baffle. My shortened stock doesnt sound the best but runs great and i like the look

Ok, let me place a question then...
WHY for the same engine, Guzzi puts the colostomy bag for in some models and does not in others?
For example, 2V models: Breva 850/1100 colostomy bag                   Breva 1200/1200sport, no bag
4V models: 1200sport, colostomy bag                    GRiSO/stelvio, no bag
Replacing the the colostomy bag with the Y pipe is a very popular mod (as is the "k&N" airfilter...) but is it actually a good thing to do? Isn't that for some models should stay in place?

I may be wrong here... But the bag on the breva has the cat inside , i think the 1200 sport/norge etc have the cat in the silencer, maybe

I have thought of getting a crossover pipe for the breva but not sure if that may complicate matters even more with a short pipe ?

I would love to run my delkavic tucked under were the bag is but i think it would effect the running of the bike , which is a sacrifice i wont make.

The Sport muffler does have the cat in the muffler, plus the internal design (of the muffler) is a Z-fold and you can do nothing about it. Aftermarket can help with the right map.
