Love the Pazzo's they are quality. they don't fade over time, and just look fab. The knock off copies are ok, but you sometimes deff get what you pay for.

Went on the irregular "Sanity Ride". We are in COVID lockdown but I did need fuel (yeah right), some wind in the tyres and a good blast along the freeway followed by sets of corners. Headspace all good now.
Had a look at Simmos Beach (thanks for the pointer Mr Bob). Nice spot to go walking, swimming and picnics. Rained overnight and temps didn't get over 13. Still good to get out and ride.

Today completed a video upload from a little earlier in the year. The GRiSO sure takes me some places. I have plenty to be thankful for with this wonderful machine

For picture size question you can either compress the picture file size OR (I haven't tried this so it's a guess) change the picture size using resize option in picture editing app ..
I just compress the file size in MS Office 2010 & the picture appears smaller - the first one is reduced for web pages; the second is either compressed to documents or isn't compressed from original
Subject: Kept the Stelvio in the shop and toured a bit on the GRiSO Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:35 am
So who doesn't love riding the GRiSO? Maybe I should just stop there and post up some pictures...
Well the Deep Forest campout here in Washington State is simply legendary. It's hard to pinpoint the reason why, whether it is the outstanding food that's served up by the hosts, the spectacular setting of the Big Beaver Group Site on the Cispus River in the North Fork Campground, but probably the best aspect of this campout are the plethora of spectacular motorcycling roads that lead into and out of the area.
But this year would be a bit different for me. For starters, I'd be leaving on Thursday for a 325 mile detour south into Bend, Oregon. There I met up with my good friend Don from Loomis, California who was coming up on his Stelvio via Ashland, Oregon en route to Deep Forest. While in Bend we were able to connect with our good college friend Bill who's been an ER Doc in Bend for the last 23 years or so. The three of us used to skydive together back when we were in university, and Don hadn't seen him since then. It had been about 12 years since I myself had seen Bill. We caught up over a few hours worth of beers on the Bend Brewing Patio before sharing a great meal at a local Moroccan restaurant.
And now in the present... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
After a good sleep and a refreshing shower, Don and I were headed North through Hood River, Oregon and across the mighty Columbia River and back into Washington. Stopping for a gas up and a couple of liters of water as temps were over 100º F for pretty much the whole trip.
So leaving Hood River took us across the Columbia to Hwy 14 heading west for a bit before turning Northward towards the tiny hamlet of Trout Lake, Washington. It's a one horse, one Cafe, one general store, and one gas pump kind of place. But it's worth visiting just for the lunch they serve at the local cafe...
Don rocked the Garden Burger with a Huckleberry Pie chaser, and I went for the Elk Burger for the obvious reason... When our bellies were full, we steeled up for the traverse of Baby Shoe Pass on Forest Service road 23. I recalled that there was a good long portion of semi-maintained gravel reinforced hardpan that lay ahead of us. What I didn't anticipate was that this portion was actually about 10 miles of recently gravelled roadway that proved quite challenging to cross, especially for a rider with precious little experience on this type of surface. Before long, Don's confidence was at it's frayed end. While the Stelvio is a capable "adventure bike" it's still a tall, top heavy pig made even moreso by the load out for this particular trip. Who says the GRiSO can't thrive on fire service roads??? I swapped bikes with Don and he faired much better on the lower CG, lower seat, and 100 pound lighter GRiSO while I finessed that big, fat, Stelvio across Baby Shoe Pass back to the nicely paved northern section of FS23 that led us to the campsite on the Cispus River.
Apologies ahead of time for the lack of photos of the actual campout. Sometimes you get to enjoying yourself so much that you forget to take photos. But here's a few nonetheless...
After crossing the pass, we rode on to Yakima, WA for a bit of lunch before heading north on the always enjoyable Yakima Canyon Road and the final 45 minute push into Moses after crossing the Mighty Columbia River from the west...
Upon arrival back home, my trip odometer read 795 miles on the GRiSO for the four day trip. God it felt great to put the boots to the GRiSO once again.
We took another lengthy day ride from Moses Lake to Winthrop on Monday, but that's another tale to come. Don flew back to Sacramento yesterday leaving his Stelvio here with me until the next chapter...

I was jumping in 1970 till I got hit on my Bridgestone, didn't trust my knees afterwards. My dad flew the 1st 10 man star outside the state of FL at that time, I was in the right seat. I got to jump for free cuz the bunch owed him $ for flying the Twin Beech. Fun times at 16 years old in Hinkley, Illinois

Thanks for the report, Steve. Sorry we missed it this year, spent the weekend in Sequim for Esther's birthday instead.

Hiya my fellow Grisistas!
My wife and I trailered GRiSO from Nashville down to Birmingham AL and Barber Motorsports Park last weekend for my first track day on a bike.
~ as you will well imagine it was Serious Fun!! ~
Barber MSP is an absolutely gorgeous track - specifically designed for mBikes - repaved this year, the grounds beautifully curated and kept up like a PGA golf course, replete with art sculptures in the grass.
The Barber Museum is the worlds largest and most diverse collection of bikes, with vintage sports cars too. They even have the Beatles Bentley!
I'd been down there running the track in my Nissan 300ZX years before, but this was my first two shoes roll.
GRiSO was of course out of his element, amid many screaming meamies tearing around, sounding like a rabble of bees. Where I wasn't knee down in the turns i was able to catch up on the straights -- me swaddled in all my safety gear tween all yon slim leatherSuits..
I love-love-loved it - highly recommending the pilgrimage down to NASCAR alley to see the place for everyone StateSide.

Put on a (early) Stelvio shock with a 110 Nm/mm spring and changed the fork oil (480ml of SAE5 to a 110mm air gap).
Haven't ridden it yet but i raised the front by 4 rings to match the higher back and it now looks like an enduro bike .................. not a GRiSO
must ride it before i start sulking

No,no,no,no! Put the forks back where they were. Or at 4 rings if they were more than that originally. You want to reduce the rake & trail by a wee bit.

well I am sorry @beetle! it was at 6 rings showing - (still not a teeny bit flighty) So having raised its buttocks by 30-40mm I thought i should match it by bringing the front back up by 12mm (4 rings)

Dave Moss has a personalized remote suspension tuning service he offers via email for $40 USD. He knows and likes GRiSO, and can help us with setup per your reqs.

I did the same as lcjohnny. After putting on the Stelvio shock I didn't like it at the old setting of 6 rings showing, so moved it. I'll have to try 4 rings as you suggest when I get the bike back from Pete & Michael.

Today I rode, like the wind. Not really. We are currently in total lockdown, so the opportunity to go for a ride really doesn't present itself without risk. All 30 kilometres of it! I did manage to get over the posted limit, though not by much - too many spoilsports out there. Then there is the 30 kilometres back home - depending on what time I leave, I might have to "miss the turnoff" to get more ride in.
Today I had to attend work to refresh my profile on my desktop computer, which I remote into to work. Also we a re getting a new starter today and he needs to be physically here for one day to get everything to work, including his computer. Tomorrow we will be back to WFH, for the duration.
I was quite impressed on the lack of traffic, though I did notice a roadside camera being setup to keep the gubbamint coffers topped up - arse!
I wasn't even expecting to be able to sit on the bike for another week but I really surprised myself last night, just on the off-chance I could. I was well and pleasantly surprised. No issues. Woo Hoo!
I might have to go shopping for groceries for the next few weeks, using the bike and her panniers, rather than the cage.
A great day for a ride, indeed.

Agostini Mondello exhaust, removed the inner baffle / dB killer. Installed Beetle map Added +7 CO trim for aftermarket exhaust Ordered Rizoma MA009 handle bars Full lube change Forks I'm trying 10W oil 430ml each, 6 rings up through forks but I'm finding turning is too quick , probably just need to get use to faster turning but I suspect also the original handlebars could be an issue now the steering is faster.
