| Found a nicely looked after 1100 on Saturday which after a quick 20 minute ride I ended up trading my KTM Duke 390 in for.
Can't pick it up until I get back from my trip to France but something to look forward to post holiday is always good.
Whilst I was in the shop they had a call from a guy willing to buy it over the phone who lived 3 hours away which knackered any opportunity for a haggle but hey ho
It has a Mass end can so I guess I'll be looking at instructions for a Beetle map before long - it seemed to pop a lot on the overrun which might annoy the neighbours a bit!
After riding a revvy single for a few years having that lazy grunt out of the bends was what had me hooked! | |

| I'm over near Skipton so just over the hill from you by the looks of it. (Ditchfinder is reference to a particularly unfortunate but incredibly slow journey into a ditch in a Nissan Almera, it just seems to have stuck:-))

| Thanks all, not had time to go through all the receipts that the previous owner has but if he's not balanced the throttle bodies and remapped then it will be on my list of things to do.
Pick it up on the 19th after I get back from the Massif Central, it definitely needs to get ridden over here! | |

| Picked it up this morning - why does it always rain on new bike day for me?!
Despite it being wetter than an otters pocket still loved the ride to work, that torque is just creamy and the noise coming out of the Mass pipe is just lovely - felt like I was doing everyone a favour who I passed on the way although I might have to put the DB killer back in if I don't want the neighbours to fall out with me!
Fuelling seems really good - only a tiny momentary hesitation somewhere between 3 and 3,500 and the box of stuff that came with it looks like it has the cables for Diag so it may be that the previous owner has already mapped it for the pipe.
