I've always wanted a Guzzi since I saw a V7 and fell in love with the transverse Vtwin look. So I finally got a Moto Guzzi! I'm excited to be a part of the Moto Guzzi family.
My GRiSO is a 2014 and the previous owner is from NY and took great care of it. The previous owner was/is on here!I can't wait to go adventures with it. I'm in the Maryland, USA area. I hope I can meet some of you if you're in the area!

Welcome MC13, I have a 2014 also. Looks like the previous owner took care of some stuff for you besides the mods of new wheels, exhaust, canisterectomy, etc which is great.

Oh cool! I didn't know the wheels were different. I knew that the suspension was rebuilt, exhaust, windscreen, and apparently there is a beetle map on it too. It has less than 11500 miles on it. I'm unfortunately awaiting a temp tag so I can ride it and get it inspected before I can register it in MD.

Welcome.
Where in "the Maryland area?"
Don't need street addy if you are in a witness-protection program, outrunning warrants, or staying low from an ex-wife , but curious if in the D.C. metroblob, the delightful riding out west, or the eastern end?

I'm just down the road from you. Sorting some issues with mine- also '14 silver/black. I have backup bikes and this is the right time of year to get some riding time in IMO. I believe there's an enthusiast over the bridge in Alexandria, as well.

Awesome!!! Yeah, I currently can only look at it unless I want to risk it. There's some tag/registration complications since I had it delivered from out of state. I'm waiting on temp tags to come in the mail then gotta get it inspected before registration. It wasn't like that with my last bike from FL. It was much simpler: plate then inspection. I waited until spring to get it inspected too.
I also try to ride year round. Hope to meet up eventually!

Wheels are from an earlier GRiSO 8V. Carbon Mistral high pipe can still be purchased brand new, got mine from Italy earlier this year.

Well, thank you for letting her go! I've always wanted a Guzzi and I'm in love with it. I love what you did with it too. I can take the exhaust if you don't want it in case I need it. I kind of wish I could put bags on it so that may be a possibility one day. I don't think I plan on going on really long rides where I'd need bags though. Just thinking out loud lol.
I was wondering if I should take the baffle out cause so many people have already came close to rubbing against me when I'm side by side with them. I guess I'm wondering if I were to take the baffle out, would it it need retuned with a new beetle map?

Hi I did remove baffle before but she don't really like it so yes I think a remap is necessary. Contact Beetle on this forum. If you want stock exhaust I can see how much to ship, will need your address though. The user code is the same as service #

Bags are available, but with that hi-pipe you're probably stuck with a tail bag.

The Hepco & Becker C-Bow bag setup also fits with the Mistral Hi-pipe

Can't find a pic from the left of the bike but my Green Bike has a Mistral Hi-Pipe and the factory bag racks. The LH rack has to be slightly modified to fit.

Uncapped exhaust provides more awareness to those behind you, rather than those beside or slightly ahead of you. And as mentioned (IMO) costs torque/performance. Invest in a louder horn, and a lot of reflective gear if you're heading to/from work in the darker hours. I think the average driver is more responsive to/trained for a loud horn sound than any loud exhaust anyway. And that was my experience with my Victory, which initially had loud exhaust and later a loud horn. It takes a lot lot of diligence and a tolerance for close calls around these parts, especially during the commutes.
