Long ride this weekend had me thinkin about differences between 2V and 4V GRiSO models ( and differences between 4V engines in the Norge and Stelvio but we'll save that for later).

I didn't realize that gearing was different.  You'll probably be riding around one gear higher in a 2V GRiSO compared to a 4V GRiSO.

All theory but any body want to share real world experience? Ive only ridden the 4V.

For what its worth here is a comparison chart I had to make when I got home.(Speed is in real units  Wink  )

My 1200 is doing an indicated 210 at 7800 revs but I've had some changes done.

Originally an indicated 230+ at the same revs (09 model) but acceleration is better now.

A mate with an 1100 at close to redline maxes at 201 indicated.

Which surprises him when my carby sport 1100 out accelerates and kills it on top speed.

What changes did you make? There's nothing you can do to alter the relationship between engine speed and road speed unless you were to swap primaries in the gearbox? Otherwise a perceived change could be achieved by messing with the speedo correction factor but that won't actually change the speed being done! Very Happy
