Have been thinking of getting a GRiSO for quite a while, currently have a 83 V1000 G5 and a Buell S1. Just wondering if a 1100 would fit me ok? Looking on this site: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]  the 1200 has more leg room, is this born out in practice?
Would probably need to sell my old tonti Guzzi to afford a 1100, a 1200 is out of my price range at the moment (dont want to sell the Buell aswell). I have read a few posts of owners changing footpegs/bars/seat (all 3 I have done to my Buell) so would consider doing this if needed. My Buell is great but would like an even comfier seat and more luggage carrying ability.
Always telling myself that a Stelvio or Ulysses would make more sense, but my heart has wanted a GRiSO for a few years now, must scratch that itch before I get too old I reckon. scratch

Apart from the handlebars and the fact 1100's have rubber topped footpegs there are essentially no differences ergonomically between the two bikes.

The GRiSO seat is comfortable enough and yes: there are a few luggage options for the GRiSO, but I don't think that is what the GRiSO is about.  Regarding ergonomics: that is very personal. Once you ride a GRiSO most riders don't seem to care too much anymore about an inch higher or lower.  Others make small adjustments to pegs or bar.  Best to try one out.  But be careful: it is well-known that you don't choose a GRiSO - the GRiSO chooses you...

So the seat heights the same (that website [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] must just make it up) are most non engine parts interchangeable? Thinking of a 1100 until I might want to upgrade to a 1200 when they are a bit cheaper maybe taking some accessories with me. No test rides available near me, think I'm just going to jump in.

There are very slight changes to the seat between the 1100 and the 'Stock' 1200 but the SE model 1200's use a seat with the same design as the 1100. I'd overlooked this as the differences are really minimal the 1100/SE seat is a tiny bit wider and a tiny bit lower.

As for accessories? The vast majority are interchangeable between the 1100 and 1200.
