Awesome job all around, like the attention to detail as well as the stealth look with the 'fire' on top. Respect for your persistence guys. Keep going

Hey guys is it true that it makes so much torque[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] the drive is suffering. I have been given some pictures of this found in Beetle garbage.

I set the rev limit to 8250, so I could log data at 8000. It's gets to 8250 very quickly.
Iteration 4 map. Bugger me lonesome, it's smooth. It's like a 1-speed auto. It pulls like a big...pulling thing. There's no need to change gears once you're in 6th. Crack the throttle open from 2000 and it goes like a dog shot up the arse.

It can't! It isn't in a lashed up old Tonti running a transplanted, unmodified, Cali 1400 motor with a single throttle body that produces in excess of 140 RWBHP! It has to be a total Turd! Fuck! Don't-choose-no-nuffink? Worra looser!

Being slightly sensible though the smoothness is I'm sure a result of the careful balancing of the 1400 rotating and reciprocating componentry.
This once again reinforces my belief that the whole reason the Cali 1400 models have their engines rubber mounted and run secondary plugs that only fire at lower engine speeds is purely an affectation to make the engine shake about like a fucked tumble dryer at idle so it looks like a poxy Harley! Sorry! How bloody sad is that?

No, wrong! It will probably be little, if any, faster than any other GRiSO. What it will be is bigly fun, the most fun you can have on a GRiSO! It's not about top speed, how often and where can you spend any time, safely, on the public road travelling in excess of 200kph? But being able to open the throttle in any gear at any time and just have it all *Work* to flatten your eyeballs at *Real world* speeds is always good for a laugh and a bit of wee escaping!

Look, if you're coming that far around the world you'd be mad not to visit Oz as well. One brilliant option is fly via Singapore Airlines. Why? Well they run a service from the UK to Wellington which stops at Singapore, (So Phang can drag you off and make you eat spiders! ) but then it stops in Canberra rather than Shitney or Melboring. While those cities have their attractions the airports, especially Sydney, is a bloody Zoo! Canberra is super easy as it has few international flights so customs etc. is quick and easy. It's also thirty minutes from Jude and I and as long as you don't have a huge tribe of kinder we can put you up. Stay a few days then just hop back on the flight and head on to Wellington.
Singapore Airlines are really good and unlike many of the other airlines you don't have to stop in some shithole in the Middle East! When I went back to England at the beginning of this year for my aunt's funeral I flew Singapore out of Canberra in cattle-truck and I was impressed. No, it's obviously not as nice as Bizznizz, (Which I'm a bit embarrassed to say I've got used to flying! ) but it's a lot nicer than many airlines including Quaint Arse and BA!

Hey Pete, i would definately come and see you all next time i am nearby and the offer is reciprical. I too like Singapore Airlines, i flew them last time i raced at the International Island Classic in Melbourne. As you say it makes sense to come and see a bit of Australia and Mrs Sidrat has never been, so it makes sense.
The beer would be on me :-)

Is this literally a Cali 1400 moto swapped into the GRiSO chassis? It really doesn’t look much different from my (untrained) eye. How does it handle? Is it heavier?
