| Update: poured some snake oil in the stepper motor hose, and some more in the tank. Started up the GRiSO - with a bit of effort. Unfortunately no black smoke or other spectacular effects. I then took it for a short 40km test ride. No change. Still a (very) high idle once the engine heats up. So next task will be to manually clean the TBs. But that has to wait until September when I am back from my 3-week vacation!!! P.S. I also checked the pretzel for cracks - seems fine. | |

What I have done, was not puring some snake oil before starting the bike, was shooting small bursts of carburator creaning spray wille the bike was iddling (thats when the stepper tries to move). The bike coffed and stall, needed to throttle up to keep it running, left it iddle again, repeated untill no smoke came out the exhaust after cleaner bursts... I think I've done this before cleaning the TBs, I always do the easier first. Maybe the factory closed loop map is better for this job, I think too rich - too lean operaton makes more use of the stepper at iddle, movement helps the cleaner to get rid of the crap. | |
