A black GRiSO 1100 with AB plate spotted in Nelson BC!

I happen to live in a place that is very popular with tourists, so despite that fact that the nearest sizable city is 5 hours away, we get our share of motorbikes during the warm sunny summer months.  Small and large herds of bikes drive through the streets each day: 90% cruisers, 5% R1200GS + look-alikes, and then some sport-tourers and others. I have only seen a MG here once: an old V7.

Until yesterday!  I passed (in my car) a group of 4 bikers (going the other way), and one of these was a beautiful black GRiSO 1100!!  I felt like Robinson Crusoe discovering the footprints of Friday!!!  

Was this the bike of a Ghetto member?

Wasn't me either though I have been through there a time or two on my RED 1100 with a WA USA plate.

That was me! Heading down to Portland for some flat track racing...

I did a bit of amateur racing, and hit a table top jump with it, but nothing too serious. It's too pretty!

I've been meaning to contact you for awhile, being a Nelsonite like my brother and his family!

I was there this summer, up around 12 mile on Kootenay Lake, without my bike (can't double,my daughter is only 7 ). Usually try to get over there once during the summer.
If I manage a solo trip over we should meet-up for a ride if you have some time.
Never ridden around the area, but itching to cruise around the lake!

You are very welcome!  It is certainly an exceptionally beautiful area with spectacular roads, many of them strangely empty most of the time. Only problem is that there are only a few roads, so after a while you "have seen them all" (that may sound spoiled).  Sometimes I wish I had a Stelvio, or just a small off-road bike, to explore the many logging roads.

Let me know when you are in the area and we can meet!  I would love to meet a fellow Grisisto, as I have no clue whatsoever about technical bike-details so any advice about valves, TBs, maps, "sacred screws", etc is very welcome!!
