Enjoy your 1100,participate in the discussions but pull ya head in.I do not recall any "sales" pitch or anything along the lines of your bike will fuck itself if you don't put "this" in it on this forum, other forums yes but not this one. Put a shitload of kays on your bike ,try all the different options and see what YOU reckon makes it go better. in the meantime please refrain from being an obnoxious ill mannered cunt.
How much did you pay for your map, just out of interest ? Oh, and I'm half Aus, from Brisbane.

| last big trip I did (last May to/from Ruptured Budgie) with an early Beetle map iteration, I got 380 km when the light came on. I was between Uralla and Inverell on the top end of Thunderbolts Way at the time.
Took it real easy though I was only a handful of kays from Inverell and made it with plenty still left in the tank. Woulda got over 410 had I pushed it but pushing it would have been the possible probable outcome. It's even better these days with mapping put to bed after 12 months - Nice big tank on the Sport!
As to the two "dodgy brothers" I see no grudges against them - I have only seen good work, great advice and much selflessness - Still I could be one eyed...

I'm not after power. I want to make the stock or near stock GRiSO perform as well as it can. I want smooth linear power and torque. I want acceptable fuel economy. I want a bike that works well in city, highway and hooligan mode without any compromises on ride-ability.
My bike does all of those things. SO WHY DO YOU DO A MAP FOR IT IF YOU DON'T THINK IT'S INADEQUATE. Come on.Tell me what's wrong with the 1100 in standard trim. Bullshitter

| To answer your question BnB my donation to Beetle was $50 AUD. After using the map it is plain to see , it was worth much more. I still don't understand why your putting shit on people that have gone well and truly out of their way to provide an OPTION that will make your bike run better. How long does it take for your bike to come out of warm up mode ? Does your bike sound like the timing is too far advanced under 4000 rpm? How much would you donate for a map ? If you are half Brisbanite wheres the other half from? | |

Donation. That's a word usually used in reference to a charity. So if I offered him 5 bucks, do you think I'd get one. Donation is another word for a charge Wake up - Charlie J wrote:

This is the thurst of my argument, that is being denied. If these people are saying it will make my bike run better, then the implication is that it's not running as well as it should. - Charlie J wrote:

There's that word again, DONATION. I'm not one of these people who let's my bike sit at idle warming up while I finish my coffee, A wise mechanic told me a long time ago that it's better to get moving as quickly as possible. My bike feels sweet throughout the rev range, and I have no issues. My bike is not going to self destruct if I don't have a new map. The other half of me is British, and I moved here when I was 28. I have dual nationality

| OoooooK, Well having done a hell of a lot of reading yesterday I am beginning to bet that issue with my bike is the HT leads arcing to the head. I think the reason that I could not see any spark when I tested yesterday was that the bloody thing was idling perfectly. I am willing to bet that if I get the chance to try same when running on one cylinder I would see a spark. I considered putting electrical tape and going for a trial but I think I will take it to local shop to see if more skilled eyes than mine can see the issue. If it is the HT leads I'll ferret through the forums and see what leads to replace them with. Mind you I am concerned about Pete continually asking for a kiss, here I thought Guzzi riders were hairy chested and tuff! Hmm might have to rethink that one No worries on crossing the city Pete I know what its like, this side is great for going North but shite for coming your way. i reckon when I finally get down to you, I'll book with you then I'll arrange to stay overnight and sample some of the Bungendoore delights. | |

| Don't bother going to the shop. Go to 'Wottatottacrap Auto' and get them to get you a pair of NGK SB05E plug caps. Also get, in case you need it, a metre of copper cored High Tension lead, not silicone core. Your current plug caps and leads *May* have a screw fitting on the cap end. If they do? Snip it off with side cutters and screw on the NGK caps. They are straight, not right angled, but you'll find that you can bend the leads so they go beneath the covers. Some people also wrap them in electrical tape. I just make sure the upper rubber boots are on well. If there isn't enough length in the HT lead use some of the metre you bought to make one slightly longer but I have never had a GRiSO that I couldn't make work. Stelvios? They're a different matter. Oh, and I promise not to ask you for a kiss or even try and lick your neck unless you behave like a complete nong. Pete | |

| Profiting from scaremongering.Mmmm? Have you heard that Al Gore was worth $2M when he retired from politics. Since he's been on the global warming warpath his personal wealth has skyrocketed past US$100M. So lets get on the conspiracy theorist hit list and take out Roper san and Beetle, then we can claim to have saved the World from an 'orrible demise. Ps. This means I'm joking, havin ' a laff, takin' the piss, I'm not bloody serious. |

But you don't need a map. You said yourself, your bike is perfect as it is. Tell you what, why don't you print a copy of a map of the Plymouth area, roll it up and shove it up your arse. | Well, you could send him the 1100 map but there might be problems.
1.) he can't load it up so proving his case that you are a charlatan.
2.) he loads it up. Realises what a benefit it is and starts selling it as how own work on fleabay,(Like my sloppage sheet has been by some pommy mob. I take it this was the reference to me being shown up on WG recently?)
3.) he continues to sit in the corner flinging shit and contributing nothing and refusing to give me a nice kiss. (sad face.)
