| Are there any non-stock alternatives to my bent-up stockers? Now that winter is here in earnest I am looking to fix what I can. DW | |

I was sort of hoping someone had done it for me -- like those nice dropped footpegs. I am happy with the stock position.

| Ralf, I may have a set in the 'Mountain of Munt'. I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know. If I do have them I'll throw 'em in with a non shonky ECU.

Pete Thanks Pete, Il have to clean and sort that bench and storage area of yours one day. But I'm guessing you'd never find anything after that. Il ring you through the week for the bill. Ralf...

| You guys! Foot pegs: The things you put your feet on. AKA foot rests Foot controls: Brake and shift levers that you operate with your feet
So, foot controls:
(1) Are there aftermarket options or just factory replacements?
(2) Anyone using the Knight design toe pegs?
Ralf: I got my 1100 foot pegs from AF1 (metal) and MG Cycle (rubber) in bits and pieces. The rubber inserts are common to a few bikes.

| 1) Dunno. Doubt it. 2) I've used them. I don't recommend them if you go around corners. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Ralf, If Pete can't sort you out, I purchased a set of Norge footpegs for my Sport - bolt straight up. If you need to try before you buy, I am just up the road... | |

2) I've used them. I don't recommend them if you go around corners. So the GRiSO foot controls are unique to the bike and not from a barrel in Italy marked 1997? I may only need one extendo-peg, the shifter side seems O.K. The brake side is a smidge high. My boots are so big I drag rubber and leather long before metal.

| You could always do what I did. I removed the factory rubber on the toe peg and used a thinner bit of rubber so I don't have to lift my foot as far.
Also, if you apply heat to the lever/pedal you can bend them quite easily. You only need to bend a couple of millimetres to make a big difference. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

Also, if you apply heat to the lever/pedal you can bend them quite easily. You only need to bend a couple of millimetres to make a big difference. Both sides were badly bent from drops/crashes and I did heat/bend them back but it is an involved process getting them off the bike and back on again and I was too conservative with my bending so they are both toed in. I will have the whole back end apart for greasing in the next month or so.
