I had the high idle issue too. Bike has 40.000km now and what I noticed is that the clutch switch wasn't working anymore. That is switch is ok, but the thing on the lever that should push it in had a little play so didn't come far enough. I added some piece with shrink wrap  to keep it in place. Since then the high idle hasn't occurred anymore.
So question to the high idle people, check with guzzidiag if the clutch switch comes in easy.


Defining high idle:
coming to a stop, in first gear clutch pulled. then idle stays to high, 1500-2000 After you put it in neutral idle drops to normal.
