Figured I'd better do an intro, or face expungement from the Board by
that Beef guy up in Seattle!
One of the older members at 61, I'm glad to have made it that far. I've
tossed a few bikes down the road in my day, but they were Hayabusas.
Big 'n heavy, they did go like stink I discovered. Still carry surgical fixtures
from my 2 street wrecks, but I got back on the horses that bucked me off.
Puttered around with Harleys for a few years, still have a Wide Glide in the garage.
Once in a while HDs fit the bill, as in riding a clogged coast highway (PCH) in the
summer when you can't really go "sport riding."
Finally got the wisdom of the Italian bikes - weight to power ratio, good brakes, etc.
First it was Ducatis various models. Still have an older MTS 1100S with Ohlins but
no electronic suspension. Hard to let that one go, so it stays.
GUZZIS-- started with a small block Breva, then a Cal Vintage which came under the
CA Lemon Law it was in the shop so much! We changed that bad one to a newer
Cal Vin that has been trouble free. Then one day went to my local shop for a cuppa
coffee, and wound up signing the papers on a GRiSO SE 8V. Funny how that happens, eh?
Glad to be here and I'm seeing some familiar names like Mr. Roper. If you get lost around
your GRiSO, Pete can help you find your way back.
OK-- Bob in a dusty suburb of San Diego, CA.
Worked on and around the railroads of USA in 6-7 different jobs
for 24 years or so, then retired.
Still like the smell of diesel in the morning!
