Howdy. Can the new cans, with the large upper chamber and smaller one underneath, be swapped straight across for the jumbo can on the 1100's?

Physically? I see no reason why not. I think the inlet diameter is the same? It has different flow characteristics mind. Are you thinking about a GRiSO Moto?

I have a 4V, Pete, and I'm contemplating swapping to an 8V. If I keep the 4 I thought perhaps I could swap to the new-style can without having to monkey with mapping and what not. Think this would work?

I am almost certain that they would have to be interchangeable from a mounting perspective. When you buy an aftermarket exhaust, there is no differentiation between 1100 and 1200.
Good to have you here Moto.

Great. I figured it was straight fit. The flow stuff is what I am curious about. I like the look of a smaller can, but I'm not sure I want to make the leap into aftermarket cans and mapping.

The 8V can is physically larger than the 1100 can.

Strewth Blue! I lead a sheltered life.
I didn't think it was possible. My bazooka is boxed in storage, a huge box.
The 1100 muffler is definitely a work. Of what I'm undecided, but I like it... in the box.
