exhaust header stud torques?? Empty
PostSubject: exhaust header stud torques??   exhaust header stud torques?? Icon_minitime1Sun Jul 07, 2024 3:11 pm

In the process of replacing my oil sump gaskets and noticed when I pulled the exhaust headers off that the studs at the engine were rusted to hell so I have new ones - problem is the manual I have doesn't seem to specify if I should be torque-ing them to any number or if I should just be sinking them up to the 'halfway' un-threaded section of the stud.

Want to do this right so I appreciate the help!

I just nip them up by feel. I check them periodically.

You’ll soon know if they’re not tight enough.
