| The GRiSO needs an extension to the rear of the front guard. Brought home to me yesterday with a ride in a downpour. Copped a wet arse and a filthy moto. I'm rethinking cutting the back to a tail tidy.
Listings viewed online predominantly show to suit from 2009 up. Is there a difference? Or should they all be the same? Is the 1100 now old hat?
Pyramid Plastics no longer show the 1100 on their website, the part number for theirs #58700 or (a) for carbon fibre, 1200 2009 up.
Thanks.

| Both bikes use the same fender so it'll work. | |

| Pyramid Plastics fenda extenda arrived yesterday from the UK. Simple, comprehensive instructions on fitting. Fit is relatively precise. Bummer it's about 8 years too late for the front of the engine Hey, it's all about the patina and will continue to be loved. Here's the result. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here's 65,000 kiloflogs without the appropriate plastic. How much of this could've been prevented, I don't know. Will save roadblasting the header pipe at the least. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| My 07 is sand blasted as well after 17 thousand miles... I don't want to drill holes in my fender so I'm making a chin spoiler like I did on my 1200. Anyway, good job Sir. | |

| I've just bought a Pyramid extender as well, and they claim no drilling is required and that the adhesive tape is sufficient if you use the cleaning swab supplied on the mudguard first - not sure so might end up using a couple of fasteners of some description.... |

| There are two different fitting kits out there, both by Pyramid. Reckon they wanted to appeal to the owners who didn't want to drill. Pyramid Plastics have YouTube Videos of both fitting procedures and types. Rivet Type: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Adhesive Type: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Good thing I like the black plastic push rivet type, bit late to change now! | |

| Looks like I need one of these. We recently moved to a new property 3 kms up a reasonably good gravel road that has a dairy with cow paddocks both sides of the road, between our place and the sealed main road. And guess what, every few days farmer 'Brown' runs his cows up and down the road from paddock to paddock.
Today I found much dried cow shit on the front my motor. It had set like fibrous plaster in the heat and took some gentle scrubbing to wash off. I think a fender extender will be my next purchase - the flyscreen will have to wait.

| The extender is a cheaper shout than the flyscreen. Cow dung flung is never a good look. | |

| UPDATE:Bought a new front guard (fender) from AF1 Racing in Texas. Super efficient mail order system. Spoke with the good folk at Pyramid in the UK (who make the part) and ordered a carbon fibre, stick on only Fenda Extenda. Again, super efficient mail order, including the deduction of VAT. Took all of 3 minutes to fit and it's a little ripper (good thing). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| +1 for the tape-on method. I used 3M automotive super strength molding tape from the auto parts store. They aren't kidding about the super strength part. It's not coming off anytime soon. | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Looks great Richo> That is the one I want to fit to keep the cow shit off. Does AF1 still have a minimum US$40 mail/freight charge for non-US destinations, or has it gone up?

| The minimum postage value is still high, however, the front guard is really light. I have a friend in the US who sends "care packages", AF1 orders go to him, then on to me.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thanks for the pics and advice. I just got mine in the post, I didn't use the clips, but I did use some additional 3M double sided tape to stick it on after removing the fender and cleaning it thoroughly with metho. | |

| I used 5 minute Epoxy, after sanding the fender and the extender. 6 months now and its going nowhere. | |

| Thanks for bumping this topic so I noticed it! Just googled the UK company that makes them, saw the price, one extender is now on its way to me | |

| Got mine delivered yesterday, was worried due to the rather flimsy packaging, but the fender-extender came out unscathed. Very happy with the look & quality, money well spend! | |

| I like the looks of mine, but don't think it really keeps much off grime off the engine.
I decided just to rely on the adhesive. Still on there after six years.
