Well, despite liking the Tenni Green colour scheme I've decided I'll stick it on the shelf for resale when someone wants it. Also, despite being pretty it's not exactly uncommon so I've sent the 'Tree Frog' bodywork off for a fresh lick of paint.
Originally I was thinking a midnight blue similar to one of the colour schemes I had on my little Tonti hot-rod back in the day but eventually I succumbed to that deep, two tone metallic red that Mazda are using at the moment.
It's a bit of a break from my usual choices which generally trend to yellow or green, but I've got a yellow one and the 'Tree Frog' was looking a bit threadbare twelve years on so why not go for something completely different?
I've got a set of black badges for it which I think will be far more decorous than the standard red ones. I'm hoping it'll be done within a fortnight.
Only other things I have on my 'To Do' list for it are sorting the forks and mounting the luggage. I'm hoping to have all that done before Tony's cabal in October!

Not for me. Didn't the Kawasaki ER5 come in that colour?

Dunno. I had an ER5 I bought for a visiting son of an old pommy mate, it was rattle-can black. It was also a complete POS but it made for a memorable holiday for him…….

V9 Bobber & Roamers had something vaguely close...

Nah, all those colours Guzzi are currently using are matt finish like the Tenni green. They used them to good effect in a blue and red on the last Stelvios and the Diavolo Rosso Grisos too.
I really am not a great fan of matt paint on the whole though.

There is always Ford Race Red...... The Convert seems to like it well enough. I prefer flat colors over Metallic on Motorbikes.

I like the red colour of the 750 Breva, - not unlike the Mazda-red... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Isn't the Mazda red similar to the red of the V100?
Grisos have to be black though ... ;-)

A proper GRiSO factory color is shiny red, as I’m with Pete, mat colors don’t do it for me. The Mazda red is sensational, only problem being the popularity bringing out similar tints from everyone else. The new V7 classic looks very good in dark blue, I’d give it serious consideration if up for a color change.

The Flouro red on the Aprilias or MotoGP Alfa mito pace car was nice and similar to the Mazda. Should turn out great

I've really noticed that colour on the car, so it should look magic on the GRiSO. Send 'after' piccies please.

Paint code 41V I believe... It's a tri-coat system. Not cheap and a pain to spray.

Brings to mind the green they painted early V11s in - silver base & green lacquer IIRC. I really like it

I got a VERY similar color on my stock metalic silver Triumph Daytona after spraying 2 layers of 5% candy blood red ink clear and 1 layer of protective clear coat. But this is at least a 4-layer paintjob, as you need primer, silver metallic, 10% candy and then the clear coat. I try not to crash the Daytona, as reconstructing the paintjob would be 1. a PIA and 2. horrifyingly expensive.

I saw Mazda with that red in direct sunlight as we passed slowly last Sunday. Saw it over 180 degrees - not sure - looks like a honda/suzuki candytone colour from the 60s
