Are those heated grips?
Those hand guards give it a tough do-it-all image. But that silencer has to go.
I suppose should have said was a mates purchase, just knew though be having some heavy involvment with it.
He didnt intend to buy another bike this year having just sold his XJR1300.
He had a medical emergency that left him skint after a while, he had to keep his Private Hire License going so bike had to go.
I spotted the yellow peril and at £3500 with 2 owners and 23k miles, which has to be one of the cheapest about & the temptation was just to great for him
He borrowed 2grand and went for it.
He's always wanted a GRiSO for about as long as I have. 1100 1200 dont think that really mattered, same as me where colour was concerned any good GRiSO will do
Normally yellow is a bit of a hairdressers colour
The GRiSO is about as masculine as they come and male manipulates it easily
The handguards are gone, the grips are heated Hein Gerrick ones.
Swapped out the corroded pattern levers today for some new pattern levers, ripped out a bad functioning battery sapping Sola-larm.
Fitted my latest incarnation of Lcjohnnys Startus Interuptus 2 fix.
His bike was the "A" typical startus interuptus setup.
Fully charged battery showing 12.6volts, starts a few times then click, off and on click, off and on click.
No fuse blowing just the typical pain in the arse no start.
Rich owners like the bloke we bought the neglected bike off play right into our informed hands
Had to laugh mate did 110mph home and between 80 - 90mph for the 100 mile journey, did think his tyres had a good contact patch in the torrential rain.
Was 22psi in the rear and 20psi in the front that explains that then
Oil was decent enough and just on the end of the stick, about a quarter pint short.
Both his rear indicators are snapped and held together with electrical tape, though replaced one today from a pair paulbrice sent me.
One of his rear tank mount rubbers is missing.
Airbox was clear of oil though throttle control springs suggested it has been over filled in the past or maybe somebody lubed them external.
Got new dunlop sportmax tyres and new brake pads already fitted.
Bent out the rear brake lever as was well turned in.
Bike has Knight Design lowered shifter/brake pedal pieces. Stole one for my bike as significantly longer than anything cheng shin makes
Got plenty of scuffs and scrapes so defo been over on both sides, and yes that silencer is disgusting though it sounds alright.
Next job is suspension pivot block/change all he fluidsl.
