Guzzi luggage Rack

I have one of these luggage racks subject to requirements, dont really want to sell the thing as evidently you cannot buy them anymore.
It's left two big holes have had to plug with rubber grommets, the grommets don't really fit they kinda just sit in there.
So am wondering as there are captives in those holes what was originally covering the holes on the body work to begin with?
Like did you have to guess to make the holes and fit the captives or was something else mounted there.
The pillion part of the seat juts out over the tail section.
The rack does have a supportive section with two rubber grommets that support the end end of the seat.

Actually you could tempt me with a pair of those grab handles swap for the rack

The holes in the tail were drilled.
The holes in the sides near the mesh were plastic pop-outs, formed with the surrounding plastic but connected by only 3 small tabs that you'd break to remove the circular piece.
As far as I know there's nothing OEM to re-fill any of those holes.

Black rubber grommets it is then

The prob with bright white rubber/plastic grommets is they look like your doing a bad job of hiding something on a pearlesant white bike.

Ordered 4x (min order) 25mmx20mm of these.
Advert said WHITE round plugs. British Company the main dealer for this type of thing.

Took longer to get these from within the Uk than it did to order a stainless grill from Stucci in Italy.
Upon arrival weren't quite sure how to seprate them into 4 or whether they would fit, wondered if they would turn white over night.

I sent them an email and they instantly refunded me Then they went out of their way to block any further involvment
WTF did I write something nasty in my email

Popped to a mate does vinyl stickers for vans cars shops you name it and got him to knock me out two white stickers.
They look terrible, so reverting back to black plugs like above but had to get the girfriend to order them

Prefer the grommets, at least until some chrome buttons turn up.
