What's this for?

Don't ever remember disconnecting this from anything. Been looking at this for years and finally getting around to asking..........what's this for? It's the wire next to the ECU connector. It has a blue and yellow wire....as you can see, it sits next to air box and fuses.
Maybe I can finally use it for something.

Looks like the ECU diagnostics connector.

It's the dash diagnostic port connector. We can't talk to it.

I always thought it was the instrument panel diagnostics connector (see diagram below) so that the diagnostics all sit in the same place under seat - but I never checked that's true or what it actually does !

The only time I have connected to that wire plug was on a Aprillia Mana for a dash update. I used the tool from Guzzi. If you disconnect the battery there is a dash code on it that will flash. Guzzi has never had an update cept for the Breva/Nevada dash on 750's
