I read that Mr Roper had bought 2012 Stelvio and he’d made comments about the exploding clutch, I’d just bought a 2012 Stelvio as a replacement for the crashed GRiSO and had already logged that the clutch was a bit suspect so this sent me exploring. The bike had been shifting better than my GRiSO ever did but has the (embarrassing) honk on pulling away cold or after a tea stop and has a good nakka nakka rattle when cold. The bikes done just 30K miles and I was astonished to find the spline almost worn out in the plate, the bushing gone in the clutch shaft, oh and the broken springs in the plate...but it was running absolutely great!
So once again, thanks again for the subliminal kick up the ass to go investigate and thus avoid a time bomb!
